Splash Café

Came to the Central Coast for a mental reset. One of the things that I do for self care is to grab the best clam chowder (that I don't have to make myself) in the World. Bar none Splash Cafe' is where it's at for delicious clam chowder decadent richness that never disappoints in the 18 years that I have been showing up for my cups of love. The recently added lobster roll option is refreshing and delightful.

This hands down my favorite chowder place. You have to get a bowl of chowder with a loaf on the side because that is the best way to eat it. On top of that it's down the street from the beach. Anything you get here is really good. The location and slo it's good as well but it's not the same. Again I would probably recommend you skip the bread bowl and just get a cup with the bread on the side because they butter it and toast it and so it's crispy all the way through and never get soggy and plus no one ever eats the bread bowl anyway.

Fish and chips were OK. Fish was over fried, so dried out.

Honestly did not live up to my expectations. The clam chowder was average and fish in taco was too dry and hard.
