I love love love this place. Just try their salads. Don't be basic, don't just limit yourself to the tea leaf salad (it is good.. but..) Try their rainbow noodle salad or mango salad. Or go for proper entries. Fiery Lamb is heavenly. The soups are amazing. Well complemeted by a good selection of Asian inspired cocktails and a small but quality selection of beers. What's not to like? Wow.
Loved the Tea leaf salad. I also ordered a coconut juice which comes in the freshly cut coconut itself. You can scoop out the cream inside if you like. The service was decent. It's not a big place but there is room for 2 or 3 big groups. Not more than that. There is a public parking space near by but it can get little challenging in the peak hours. There is no parking lot of their own since it is located in the busy area of San Carlos. We had a group of 12 people and we had a great time there.
The food was really good and the ambiance was nice. Service was friendly and attentive though a little low energy. This was our first time trying Burmese food, so I can't say how it compares to the competition, but we'll definitely be back!
Went on a sunday, dinner for 2. It was really crowded, but staff were friendly and did their best. We ordered some sake that was pretty decent for like $35 a bottle. We had samosas and the tea leaf salad for appetizers. Both were really great, especially the salad. The fermented tea leaf is a distinct flavor, and paired with crunchy nuts and greens is a good combo. The spicy lamb and pork curry were definitely good but nothing crazy amazing. I also thought the rice was overcooked and clumpy. Overall very good experience, but would probably try different mains next time.
The food tastes great. I personally prefer this kind of cuisine to Thai food. The salty level is just perfect. Don’t forget to check out the huge fork! It was cool&fun to dine with those giant tools.
