California Pizza Kitchen at San Mateo

Pasta was great. Order was quick. Parking was not a problem.

Consistently decent food and above average service. It's frustrating to come in as an adult dining alone and be unable to find a seat at the bar because it's full of children, so I generally make other plans when I'm at the mall.

We dine here 3 or 4 times a year. The interior has recently been updated making for a modern and clean space. The service is what you would expect but often seems a little short handed. The pizzas are always good and (surprisingly) so are the tacos.The rest of dishes are nothing special. Pricing is a bit high as is the noise level, it can be hard to hear the conversation of your table mates. It is also very family friendly (which may be why it is a little loud!).

Great, simple restaurant for a quick bite to eat with great pizza and pasta options. Service is fast and food is high quality, with small variances at times. On some days, the pizza tastes better or worse than other times, which may have to do with busy-ness. However, the food is quite good in general for something quick and easy to eat. Good for large parties.
