Fire Wings San Mateo

I always manage to find myself returning to Fire Wings like every other week. However, certain menu items are a hit or miss here. Just last night I tried the boneless wings for the first time, and they were hard, dry, and pretty sad. Yet their bone-in wings rarely disappoint, and the garlic noodles definitely hit the spot. The service is friendly and your food is brought out fairly quick for a wings place. Improve the boneless wings and it might be worth a better review.

Get there before the lunch rush which starts at noon and before the dinner crowd which gets there around 7pm and you'll be fine and be able to find a table. Order things outside the box. Try the peanut butter wings and Thai Chili are my favorites. Also the garlic noodles, garlic fries and stuffed jalapenos are the best sides!

Really enjoyed this wing place. The environment is cool. It's brand new and has a modern design. The wings are really good. I tried the boneless and bone-in wings. Boneless wings are very unique compared to other chicken places. All of the wings tasted crispy and fresh. They put the perfect amount of sauce for me. It wasnt drenched in it, but it was just enough to get all of the flavor. I tried the California, hot, and lemon pepper wings. None of them we're very spicy. The only bad thing I have to say is that the French fries we're just alright. Tastes very similar to Jack in the box curly fries.

All in all it was one of my favorite wing places.
They have quite a bit of flavors to try so I can't wait to go back and try them out again!

Update: Fries are much better since the first time.
