Went here for Valentine's day dinner. We are vegetarian and choices were poor for us. Since rice is cooked in chicken broth, we ended up with lot of beans. We've had better Mexican meals than this.
Came her to celebrate a bday. Good drinks & food. Loved the mole enchiladas. The tortilla soup was really clean & fresh tasting.
Always a full house. We had a party of 12 celebrating. Service was great as was the food.
The place and atmosphere is nice, food is below average, kind of bland. The veggie options (and all the food) are typical for family style Mexican restaurants, you'll get the nice big platters, etc. People are nice. Vegetarians note that the rice has chicken and refried beans have lard.
Being from Texas, I feel like I have a certain bias towards Mexican food. I judge Mexican food restaurants by two things, the salsa and the fajitas.
I had the opportunity to try both tonight, and I wasn't disappointed. The salsa was flavorful, but with just a small amount of heat. I prefer salsa that will melt your face off, but this salsa was mild and yummy.
The fajitas were tender and delicious, they came out sizzling hot with fresh tortillas.
I'll be returning in the very near future!
