Came here 30 minutes before opening on Sunday and was able to put my name down on the Yelp waitlist and be first on the list. It got pretty crazy 10 minutes before opening so if you are going to come here just put your name down early and then you can go around the plaza and come back at 6 when they open.
I ordered the Shugetsu Tsukemen special with mega noodle serving and it was so much food. You can choose whichever amount of noodles you want since they are all the same price. I was so full and I still had a lot of noodles left to bring home. It was pretty tasty and the broth had a unique smoky flavor. I also got the 5 piece fried chicken which was excellent as well.
I highly recommend trying this place again but probably wouldn’t wait more than 30 minutes. Maybe I’m just not a Tsukemen person but next time I will try their other ramen.
It was a newly open restaurant providing tsukemen and ramen.
The tsukemen was good, but we were looking for stronger fish flavor.
The ramen could have been better— the noodle was too soft, like a bit over cooked or not dried enough after cooking.
The chicken karaage was delicious, and the chicken soup was really flavorful. These two were probably the most impressive parts of our dinner.
For what it worths, most of the noodle dishes on the menu, you could upgrade to large for free.
Newly opened and it’s fantastic! Some of the best ramen I’ve had in the Bay Area. I had the Shugetsu ramen - the noodles were cooked well (broth stuck to them as I ate), the broth was very flavourful, and all of the toppings were done well. Friendly staff as well! Noodles are made in house and you can actually watch them make it! Overall a great dinner.
Saw this new ramen place open up and was debating on if we should try it or not. Holy, did not disappoint.
The broth was incredibly flavorful, and the noodles were cooked perfectly, plus you can watch them make their noodles fresh in-house.
The only thing is the portion size of the fried chicken, a little aggressive for $7.
Tsukemen noodles were great, although I do prefer a stronger/thicker flavored broth. The pork was delicious, had a smoky flavor to it. Egg also solid. They offer larger noodle sizes for tsukemen for no added cost, X-Large is almost an entire pound, barely finished. The fried chicken soft bone (nankotsu) is also very good, hadn't had that before.
