Loquita Santa Barbara

The food was great! I would consider this the only Mexican restaurant I have been to with authentic Mexican flavors. The decor was fun and so was the music. I went for an early lunch around 11:30a and there was plenty of space. The place got really packed after 12p. Loquita Santa Barbara is not easy, and this place is almost hidden. I will definitely go back!

Nice spot for spanish food. Visited on Fri I believe. Had a sister come into town and asked me to take her here again. The place has a good feel to it. Similar to a place in Denver I liked.

Creative, fun and delicious food in a trendy, modern atmosphere. Good place to go and share plates with a small group. Most dishes were just as described, however the paella was much smaller than we were expecting and took quite a long time. There were four of us and we got 1 paella and 4 small plates. We should have either got more small plates or 2 paella. Considering that, it's definitely on the more expensive side of dining.

Probably one of the finest restaurants I’ve eaten at in a long time (and, as you can tell by me review trail, I get out a lot). Savory, succulent, well prepared dishes that are expertly plated. They look and taste exquisite.

Reservations strongly encouraged, as suggested by the throngs waiting to dine. It’s popular because it is so good.

Waitstaff is knowledgeable and should suggest one of the gin and tonics that they are known for (I’ve had the best from Portland to DC, and these are up there). Dessert menu (if you still have room) is also up to their standards.

Now, this quality comes at a corresponding price point. So in order to best enjoy the experience, be prepared in advance to spend a notable amount (unless you jetted down from San Francisco for the weekend, in which it will be pocket change).

Great restaurant with small plates. Lots of veggie/vegan options and they will work with dietary restrictions. Their paella is so freaking good and they have great cocktails and sangria. Try to get a spot on the outdoor patio if you can!
