Hands down some of the best pastrami I've ever had. In a town with so many great places to eat. This one definitely stands out for a great lunch sandwich.
Delicious sandwich and onion rings. Made fresh at time of order. Yum!
Good place to hang and eat some good food. I think I might become a regular. The bill was decent for the quality.
Based on a strong recommendation from our tour guide, especially as to the house-made corned beef, we sought out this deli. As you enter, the grill is immediately to your right. You can reach out and touch the cook! A few steps in and you order at the small counter. Seating is limited—perhaps 4 or five tables and five seats at the counter.
Everyone was friendly and helpful. Wouldn’t matter if they were ogres, the pastrami and corned beef are good enough on their own. Each meat has its own distinct taste—your senses fight over experiencing the flavors. Not to be ignored, the sourdough bread (not rye, get over it!) stands out in both texture and aroma. It was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had anywhere (NOT including New York City or Palm Springs, of course) and I never miss a chance to try a new deli.
The manager dropped by to make sure we were enjoying our meal. He actually asked probing questions and listening to our comments. No mystery why Norton’s has been successful for so many years.
We came across this place from the Diners, Drives-Ins, and Dives. Yes I know you can be like why trust a commercial television show but trust me this show has it down. They go where the people go. That's where the great stuff is. My family loves pastrami sandwiches so we're always down to try new places. The place is small so if your traveling alone or with one other person could work. If not we walked to the old courthouse and had a picnic there. The staff is always helpful and friendly.
We ordered the classic pastrami. They had a chicken Philly cheesesteak. Just the right amount of ingredients in every sandwich. The chili cheese fries are so delicious. I love that its always fresh and pretty quick service. I love it here.
