Very good service, clean and organized place with an environment of intimacy. The food is good too if you like noodles and a variety of pork in the soups.
I have been coming here for five years. I am a regular I try to come once a month. The food here is great I have literally tried everything on the menu. This is a small place inside so be prepared for along wait to get seated (they will sit you only if your entire party is here ). This place is worth the wait. Also be hungry because the portion sizes are big. Their homemade spicy hot sauce is everything! They only have a limited selection for to go items and they accept card.
This place is really good for people who want quick bite. Their prices are reasonable compared to Santouka. Here, Raman with a good portion cost about $11, plus a bowl of rice with minced pork ($4), and the fried chicken ($7)!! One of the best I have had in San Jose. Seriously, their fried chicken is a must try dish.
3rd visit and always been very good. I've been lucky and gotten a seat without a wait everytime. To the reviewer below, it is NOT cash only, they take the card. Parking can be a bit of a challenge though.
Flavor is great at this place. There had always been a line every time I went before. The best time I found is 6 on a week day -- no wait.
Prices are fair too with good quantity. Service is OK, on par with other similar ramen places.
The only issue I have is the open bar style. Actually nothing wrong with the bar itself.. it's just that you can see the kitchen if you sit at the bar like I did. The cooks did not wear gloves or face masks. They were cooking with bare hands, grabbing veges and noodles after wiping tables.. I even saw them putting a counter top wipe on some noodles.. I would rather not see the kitchen..
