“The most quaint and charming restaurant! Delicious food, entertaining pianos, and attentive service. It feels like you’re transported back to better times. Generous portions at a reasonable price point. There are several vegan options including a great eggplant Parmesan available with advance request. The butternut Marsala pasta had a flavorful cream sauce and plenty of veggies like squash, mushrooms, zucchini. The profiteroles are crisp and light, drizzled with chocolate sauce and filled with fresh whipped cream. The self-playing pianos play delightful tunes throughout the evening. It’s like getting dinner and a show. The favorite part of the evening was definitely the drinks! The soda fountain options are creative and tasty. The apricot ambrosia is particularly good, with nice almond flavor that balances the tartness of the apricot. The best drink of the evening was the East Frisia tea service. A hot pot of Assam black tea atop a tea candle to keep it warm arrived on a silver tray with rock sugar. You place cube in the cup and then as the tea is poured over, the cube crackles like an ice cube. Assam tea is reminiscent of English breakfast.”

“Fun atmosphere, good local music, great comfort food with a kitchen that's open late. It even has a second level you can go up to for a more chill experience. They sometimes have a cover fee for bands but they're always reasonable. They also have an open mic night and free salsa classes! This will definitely become a regular spot for me and friends.”

“Breakfast burritos in Downtown San Jose for less than 10-bucks!! Super friendly staff. Very generous portions. Owner Edris is as handsome as he sounds, and very nice. Support local and eat well….I’ll be back.”

“This was a good spot to go to. We are here and it was good and we had a few drinks. Place is modern with a sense of upscale vibrancy that favors the bold and eccentric. The bar tender was highly knowledgeable in the art of mixology. I had them make me a special drink that had a dash of amazing mix with complexity and it was relentlessly overwhelming. I would come back to this place because it’s a good spot.”

“For an Italian restaurant that supposedly makes their own pasta in-house, I did not expect that they would overcook the pasta on every dish. The best dishes were the appetizers. The sauces for the pastas were good but not particularly impressive. Service was friendly and food came out in a timely manner. Prices are not worth the quality.”

“Not a bad place to get a taste for Vietnamese food. I tried the Rice noodle bowl with stir fried tofu and crispy vegan egg roll. Despite being vegan the egg roll was delicious, crispy, flavorful, and stuffed to bursting. I wish there was option just get the egg roll on its own. The service was great and very understanding of all dietary restrictions and allergens. Took roughly 15 minutes to prepare the order. However, the piece at 20$ a bowl is quite prohibitive for the volume and quality of food provided.”

“I love sushi and finally found a hand roll place in San Jose, Uni hand roll bar. I got the combo, three hand rolls, seaweed salad and miso soup. For the rolls, I got Salmon Belly, lobster and blue crab. Since they were premium rolls, I had to pay a $1 extra for each roll. They were fresh seafood and very good. The portion was adequate, but not generous. The sides were good also, it’s just a little pricey. 📍Uni Hand Roll Bar, Downtown San Jose, CA.”

“Good place for drinks and tapas. Pig ear salad is better than I expected, very crunchy. Flamed chourico is good for picture, taste okay Beef tongue must finish quick, otherwise you will taste the fishy smell The octopus is tender and fresh. The sauteed vegetables are flavorful and taste like... veggie 😄 The alentejana cocktail is interesting, tastes okay, fancy ice cube, and delicious ham. It's worth a try.”

“It was our first time at this place and loved the food. We had the paneer Tikka sandwich (came with small lays) and corn chat. Both were just like how it would be in India. The pricing was reasonable too. Their desserts looked interesting, but we were too full to try. Will definitely come back again.”

“Tidy little place serving delicious food. We had a sampler appetizer platter. All will well prepared and delicious. The garlic sauce is the bomb. The shrimp in garlic was generous portion. The tostones were perfectly caramelized not burnt. Thoroughly enjoyed a delicious meal. It's a food court area so different tastes can be explored. And there's a bar a few steps away should you wish for a beer with your meal. Good enough to go back and explore more.”

“What an amazing experience! Beautiful ambiance and feel, looks like its straight out of a magazine! Piluchi at the bar remembered the drink I had from 2 weeks ago and I was very surprised. She definitely made my experience special! other than the service, food is incredibly delicious. From our appetizers to main course and dessert, all great tasting and very well presented! Perfect spot for social and corporate gathering, highly recommended!”

“My hubby found out that the subway place closed down right across the street from the San Jose Convention Center where he sometimes work and a Mexican Empanada spot opened up. I googled it I asked him to check it out. He brought home a variety of Empanadas for me to try and I can say I loooove their crust. The crust for the veggie empanadas is different than the savory ones and the crust for the dessert tastes like a croissant pie (if that makes sense). I had the Tinga Empanada (chicken) which has a kick to it (spicy) it was flavorful, Beef Empanada (ground beef, potatoes and onions) is like a lumpia but in an Empanada, Mushrooms w/ cheese (had some diced tomatoes) tasted like a pizza w/o meat... all were yummy and savory. I love chocolate so for the Nutella Empanada 🥟 yaaaaassss, that was everything!! I've had Filipino empanadas but I gotta say, I love Casa Guzmania's empanadas I can eat them all day and it would be great to order a party pan if you don't want to cook for a potluck party (just a suggestion). I didn't get to try the Conchinita, Mole or sausage w/ cheese (pork) and Apple Empanada because my hubby ate it (which of course he should since he's at work and gotta eat too 😆) Sharing is caring... I'm already knowing they were good because he told me so (and I believe it lol). The best part of it is that you can just grab n go especially when you're hungry, got a 30min lunch and in a rush. All I know If ever he goes out there again for work I'll definitely have him order more.”

“This place is great. It is dog friendly and It has arcade and beers. I went on a Thursday and they have 3 dollar pints which is amazing. My buddy ordered a chicken sandwich with beer battered fries and I got a normal burger medium rare. Upon the arrival it was presented well. My buddy said that chicken sandwich was dry but the beer battered fries were really good. My burger was cook medium well but I didn't complain. The fries were sprinkled with old bay. It was a bit much but nothing a bit of ketchup couldn't fix. The beers was tasty. My buddy got the pilsner and I got a stout. His had a funky taste but after the initial taste it was good. The stout was delicious. Could not complain.”

“The place had vintage look and was nicely decorated, with a bar and arcade, a good place to hang out and chill. The pizza was good, though; my friend quoted "The cheese is was added on top of the meats & veggies." -K, & when we experienced it made sense. The cheese literally slides right out of the dough along with the toppings or should i say "bottomings."XD It's good, but doesn't hold itself well. Still was a good time none the less!”

“Probably better than the other alternatives in the area. The day we went they had prime rib as the main entre. The prime rib was... okay. Side of green beans were nice and crunchy. Made to order burgers were great for kiddos, especially the fresh French fries. Self-service model, with a nice seating area. If you're going to the Children's Discovery Museum during the week this is a much better option than the museum Cafe.”

We like to call ahead so our order is ready when we get there. Don’t let the truck discourage you. Food is as good as any nearby restaurant.”

“Sunday late night DoorDash/delivery:(~10.30 pm) Packaging: Used single use plastics. - Ordered Chilli paneer sandwich. - Chilli panner sandwich was good with the side of jalapeño potato chips which was offered as a combo. Wish the sandwich was warmer, I’d prefer to eat at the place next time rather than delivery. - Order was delivered on time.”

“I found Encanto here on Yelp and we decided to give a try for lunch. Our lunch was fantastic and the service was incredible. While having lunch we watched a near by table being serviced cocktails in fashion! So I decided to make a reservation for when my friends visited and we had a delicious meal. At dinner we ordered a bunch of small plates and all were delicious. The cocktails however stole the show! I highly recommend the Mexican Old Fashion! It is amazing. We also got to meet the manager and the staff understands service and make you feel so welcome and appreciated! Can’t wait to try their Sunday brunch.”

“I found this food truck/trailer near my son's Friday swim class and decided to come try it out . The Nashville style fried chicken comes in three different combos of the chicken sliders, chicken tenders or one of each. When I brought the slider/tender combo home, my family quickly ate most of it that they didn't leave enough time for me to take a picture. Very delicious and savory with Jojo's special sauce on the side.”

“Neat, clean and well organized shopping store. Clean restrooms, helpful staff Bakery is also good have variety of cakes, cupcakes, cookies to satisfy sweet tooth. But recently I found there donuts are not so good they are raw, chewy and it's pricey too it's just my opinion”
