Rooster & Rice

Located in the Valley Fair mall, next to Ramen Nagi and all the other new food places that recently popped up. I was thinking to get some ramen but the line was too long :)

I ordered the #1 with chicken thigh upgrade ($1 extra). Food came out pretty quickly, and it was good. The sauce was delicious, chicken was prepared well, and reasonable portion size. I wish they have an option to order without skin (like Chicken Meets Rice does), but it's just minor inconvenience.

With the number of food offerings available in the mall now, it's hard to say if I would come back. Definitely a solid option though!

The portions here are pretty decent compared to the price. So here you can get for sure a protein rich meal. The chicken was soft, and it felt quite similar to a home made chicken, light and filling. The chicken broth was also a super good combination with the meal, especially in the winter time. Highly recommend!

This place is underrated. Healthy and delicious Hainanese chicken rice. Hearty servings. We come here couple of times a week for take out/ dine in good meal for Gym rats.
