Food was good, though service was really slow & server wrote down our drink order, then forgot it. Then other server brought our food finally & a asked if I wanted cheese, I said yes, and he never brought it.

What a great dinner at The Basin! Started with an excellent appetizer of steamed clams and the arugula side salad. The clams were perfectly prepared and we enjoyed every drop of the accompanied broth. Our entrees were the coq au Vin and the Argentinian steak. The steak was very good but the coq au Vin stole the show. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the side mashed potatoes were excellent. What made this dish an 11 was the amazing depth of flavor of the sauce. It had a comfort food, soul satisfying depth that just danced on your taste buds. It was deep and full of flavor but remained in harmony with the chicken. Every bite was one to savor and even after sharing with my plus one, there was plenty on the plate to enjoy. the coq au Vin is a must order and I'll be getting it as long as it's on the menu.

We ended our night with the molten chocolate bomb and homemade champagne lemon ice cream. They were two separate desserts but they paired perfectly together. Both were delicious.

Throughout the night, we enjoyed a bottle of the La Rioja Alta Vina Ardanza Reserve 2009.

    Highly recommend this restaurant.

This place has been around a long time. I love the seasonal special dishes! They are made with fresh ingredients and I have not had a bad one yet. My favorite is still the mushroom soup. Good for families and romantic date nights.

Delicious food, nice ambiance. I had the truffle fries and the lamb shank. There are tasty non alcoholic cocktails on the menu, which is a plus for me.
