“Starstruck 💯 THIS MEAL BLEW ME AWAY We have several high quality kaiseki options in the Bay Area and I have been to many of them including Michelin star Wakuriya & Kenzo Napa as well as Redwood City’s Ranzan & Ogiku. Kaiseki is a Japanese-style of menu less well known here and featuring multiple cooking techniques with an array of dishes Plating and presentation play an important part but it’s always the unique food flavors, seasonal cuisine, and cooking techniques that showcase the very best of kaiseki I was familiar with Chef Aoki and Yuko from their former establishment Ramen Saryo Hachi so came in with expectations of a solid meal The brightly lit, brand new establishment with a gorgeous wood table 9-seating area, however, allows them to truly shine and to reach their full potential of which I only had an inkling Each dish is meticulously crafted and the flavors and presentation are a level above anywhere I’ve had. Chef Aoki speaks minimal English but Yuko’s explanation of every dish combined with the thought and decision behind them not only is educational but significantly enhanced my enjoyment This type of dining may not be for everyone given both the price point and duration (1 seating nightly, ~2.5 hours) but for me, it is my best meal of 2023. “Had dinner yesterday night and was pleasantly surprised. At first they had this beautiful mural of a hummingbird that was just stunning. The place is very clean and organized. I ordered the ceviche clasico, paella pisco bar and some empanadas. It was all delicious fresh fish and high quality ingredients. The staff was very nice and helpful. Our bartender Raul was such a great bartender he truly is a master of the piscos. Ultimately this was a great experience and would recommend it to everyone who wants to try authentic Peruvian Cuisine.”

“World fusion taste in a seclusive chef’s kitchen with a personal touch! The place is a bit hard to find on the Main Street but easier to access from the parking lot. We came here for brunch and ordered a potato salad, egg taco and a French toast. Everything was delicious! The chef Brad used to be a successful restauranteur in Shanghai and bringing back his exquisite cuisine from China as he moves back home. Highly recommend. We will be back for the dinner set menus.”

“Alright. So this spot has a lot of good choices of food.... I order some clam strips. The price matched the portion (which for clam strips means a lot to me!). You don't know how many times I've ordered clam strip from other places and get crumbs. That is not the case here. Garlic fries... soooo delicious! Well done. Service was also great. Definitely a place I will revisit when I am in the area.”

“This place just opened up in May. They have delicious sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches, donuts, pastries, ice cream and drinks. The croissant sandwiches are soooo good, the croissants are soft and buttery, super fresh ingredients. The donuts are the best I have had in years, so fresh, light and airy, truly little clouds of heaven. Excellent customer service. I am so excited this place opened up. Its so hard to find the perfect donut. I love this place.”

“This place is just delicious. Outdoor courtyard dining in Saratoga is a rare thing, and a tasty brunch with fresh food in a lush environment is unheard of. I love it! You have to try the red velvet pancakes. They are soft, moist (yes I had to say it) with a glaze that is like a dessert in the morning. I usually order an egg dish, and we will order the pancakes to split around the table. The servers are really nice here too. I have never had a bad experience. Did I mention they have red velvet pancakes?”

“Absolutely exceptional. This restaurant is as much about the excellent food as it is about the experience. Hands down some of the best food I have ever had the privilege of indulging in. The owner personally came to our table and, upon learning it was our first time at her establishment, proceeded to grant us a personal tour of her distinguished, personally arranged formal dining room. She spoke with an air of loving pride about the hand-picked chandelier from Prague and the marvelous painting by a local patron which represents many important people in her life. We watched as she interacted with the other diners as well. It was a tremendous gift to have chosen this place to dine. Every single morsel, from the French Onion Soup and Seafood Crepe to the fresh bread and Chicken Forestiere, was a showcase in beautiful culinary execution. All that we experienced was provided for an extremely reasonable price (much more so than many “cookie cutter” chain restaurants) and delivered with a superior standard of quality. Many thanks for reminding your guests of what life-memory dining is really about.”

“Great service and yummy Chinese food. We ordered the green onion pancakes, roasted duck (with delicious crispy skin), sizzling lamb with onion (comes literally sizzling on a hot black metal (cast iron, maybe) plate), chicken fried rice, beef and snow peas and mushrooms with oyster sauce, and honey walnut shrimp to go. Everything was tasty and even better than I expected. (I especially liked the duck and the lamb. My friend especially liked the pancakes and the fried rice. My son liked the pancakes and the chicken fried rice and also ate some duck skin, beef and snow peas, and lamb) The waiter was very attentive (kept our drinks filled and appeared whenever we needed him without having to be flagged down - either a mind-reader or just experienced and solicitous ;) ) and helpful (packed our food for us). We were seated right next to fish tanks with bright orange fish (on purpose, I think :) ), which was great because I had my almost-2-year-old son with me. The waiter even brought him an animal coloring page. The restaurant has a nautical theme and at least 2 large sailing ship models grace the walls. I liked the color of the walls.”

“We went here for lunch today after another restaurant down the street lost our reservation. We were close to closing but the waiter was so nice and accommodating. They brought cinnamon rolls and fresh fruit with whipped cream. The waiter was so nice, taking pictures of our table as we were celebrating a birthday. They brought out the birthday cake we brought with the candles lit. The food and service was great! We all ordered different cocktails and every one was delicious. Even though we were there after closing we never felt rushed and everyone was extremely nice.”
