Tae's Edo Sushi Bar

Just moved to the area and I was unsure of what I would find in Tae's Edo Sushi Bar, my expectations were low. While they are not an upscale place, their rolls and entrees are great for their price. I'll be coming for the highway 9 roll.

Best sashimi and sushi I have had in awhile, in Boulder Creek of all places. Welcome home to me.

Great food we both had bento. Really enjoyed the teriyaki chicken, California roll, tempora vegetable And fresh fruit. Everything was delicious.

A very sweet waitress and fantastic view of the creek saved this place from a negative experience. The food was good but needed more flavor. Unfortunately, our shrimp Tempura and consequently, probably our Dragon Roll, had shrimp that were not cleaned at all. As in... we ate poop before realizing it. Yuck! When the bill came, we were told they were sorry for our experience, but offered no reconciliation. We were surprised, but said nothing and paid the bill in full. A minute later, the waitress came back, saying she felt bad about the situation and offered to void the original check and provide 10% off a new one, which we gratefully accepted. Though a small gesture, kudos to her for recognizing that we shouldn't pay full price for something we couldn't eat.

We live local and hadnt tried Edo. I am so sad I waited to support our local Sushi Restaurant. Great atmosphere, great food so tasty and amazing service...try Tae's Edo as soon as possible. What a cool place for our small town, no more trips into Santa Cruz for Sushi for this family we will keep it local from now on...
