“I’ve tried many boba spots throughout Cali from the holes in a wall to the places with the modern chic decor. I ordered a lavender milk tea and it was super sweet for my taste! I drink a boba almost every day out of the week, so my sweet tooth is huge and this drink was really sweet. The taste okay and there’s not a lot of selection of toppings either. I love toppings so I don’t think I’ll return for boba, but there’s was a lot of waffles and desserts that definitely look tasty!”

“Lots of healthy choices here that are very delicious. It's a small Cafe so in order to produce such good food they need to charge more. My bowl of soup, slice of bread with avocado and absolutely yummy spices, dessert and coffee crossed approximately $18 with the tip. I had to order this much food in order to be full because their portions are very small. Except for the soup. Here a hearty bowl of soup is really a hearty bowl of soup and is very fairly priced. I highly recommend this place”

“This place has the coldest beer I’ve ever been served. The food was amazing! We tried burgers, salads, sweet potatoes fries, and a milk shake. Only suggestion would be fries should come with the burgers. Who serves a burger with no fries? Up the price a fraction and send the fries out to complete the burger experience. Overall, I highly recommend this place. We will be back on our next visit.”

“I love this place I use to come here as a kid and the food has gotten better the food is really nice and hot especially the fries and the chicken nuggets. The experience that I like was that a young lady by the name of Jackie was very knowledgeable and new about what was in the burgers by memory and with her big smile I felt welcomed into the restaurant just like a family memeber. she as well was quick on her feet and helped the people in the kitchen when the food didn’t come out quickly she was really good in kitchen and fast.”

The chocolate dessert is to die for as is the lemon cake dessert. Their salads are excellent and there is a wide variety. “No one should miss a pit stop at the Windmill while visiting Santa Cruz. Your host Mary is just the sweetest and the other employees pretty much match her disposition. It's like a "home"made experience with the convenience of a restaurant. The croissant veggie sandy is my favorite. This lovely cafe accommodates vegetarians and the like very well. Small tip: if you order a bagel and you want it toadted, just ask. It's worth the wait.”

“We just arrived in Santa Cruz last night and decided to have breakfast at this cozy little restaurant! So glad that we did! The food was delicious! Very fresh veggies piled high on the plates too! My husband got a cinnamon roll (which was a little different than where we come from! There wasn’t any icing on it, but it was really good!) and a ham and cheese omelet. “This grocery store is a true gem! I love supporting local businesses and Staff of Life has been in Santa Cruz since the 70s. Very cool! They have an amazing selection of fresh, organic fruits and vegetables. Seriously have the best strawberries in the summer. The store is pretty big and has any food you could possibly need, mostly organic and natural versions. They also have a fresh food section which I haven’t tried out much. I love the deli also, they have a great selection of pasture raised meat.”
