Thousand Oaks Fish & Chips

Great tasting fish and chips. Love their fried zucchini

I had the fish and chips with clam chowder and it was okay. Nothing overtly negative about the food but it was a little bland. The fries could use some seasoning and the chowder had very few clams in it but the flavor was pleasant. Service seems pretty good. The prices are great. I paid less than $13 for my meal. I reccomend it.

The fish and chips met expectations, but please understand what the preconceived expectations were going in. When you have a hankering for deep fried fish and chips, this is a decent place to go. It won't knock your socks off, thus the 3 stars. But it will satisfy that occassional need for fast food fish and chips. That said, my order included scallops as well. Those were too long in the fry vat and too heavy on the coating . Stick with the fish and the chips.

Fish is super crunchy and light. Service was good. The only thing that was slightly lacking was the tartar sauce, it was a bit too sweet for my liking.

Thousand oaks fish & chips is a really nice place to go and grab a really good bike. They have some very nice entrees of fish, and shrimp, not to mention they have chicken nuggets if that's not your thing.the tilapia was wonderful, as is the cod. Their shrimp is good, but what really stands out is the stuffed shrimp. It is stuffed with crabmeat and mozzarella, and tastes really really good when you put the molt on it. Definitely recommended!
