Black Bear Diner

The best breakfast experience in a 100-mile radius. The food is consistently delicious, the staff is welcoming and amicable, the restaurant is clean and has a great atmosphere, and the food comes relatively quick. It’s not the cheapest breakfast place in town, but it is the best by a significant margin. You won’t be disappointed!

Friendly service, large portions and a wide selection. Open early and it's right near campus. Overall it is great when you are visiting, there is something for everyone.

Great diner. Huge portions. Consider sharing a meal. Comfortable decor. Food is pretty good.

They are very kids friendly. Crayons and coloring sheets for kids plus a nice, cheap kids menu.

Parking at this location is a breeze. They have a large parking lot in back in addition to street parking.

Had to grab a quick bite for lunch in between seminar sessions on the first day and chose this diner. Really solid bacon cheddar burger at a solid price (and portion was big enough that I couldn't finish it!). Service was relaxed and got me everything I needed.

I was quite surprised with the Black Bear dinner in Davis..
O went to meet my son for dinner, he's a student at UCD.
Our plan was Pizza, however being Pi day 3/14 (March 14th) there was no less then 50 people waiting outside of several places.
With everyone having pizza the restaurant was quiet. Looking around it was well kept, neat and clean.
We were seated in a booth. It to was clean (as were the salt and pepper shakers, and condiment bottles).
Waiter was friendly and the prices were reasonable.
I had an omelette, it was excellent.
I would go back to this location and have no problem trying other locations as well. I recommend it to all of you as well
