“Friendly and cozy little diner area, the breakfast was okay, pancakes weren't burnt and the bacon was half cold. Had to ask twice for silverware. Took maybe 20 minutes before the waiter even noticed us, and here we sit waiting for a check! 4 stars because everyone was friendly and apologetic, and the coffee was free. Would likely recommend”

“Everyone working was really friendly I loved the experience. I went with my two dogs and they gave them both and pup cup and the frappe was the best one I’ve ever had. Great staff!”

“The restaurant is very clean and nicely spaced with tables. We were immediately greeted and received friendly service through our visit. Everyone was pleased with their meal. Skillets or back door burrito is the way to go! Coffee was kept warm through our visit. We will return again soon!”

“Awesome food and wonderful service. The steak and shrimp plate is amazing. If you can fit it, after the ample sized portions, the fried ice cream is wonderful. Easily one of the best restaurants in the area. They are also very accommodating. Will definitely be frequenting.”

“This is a great place offering healthy, tasty, filling smoothies and quick, friendly service. Huge selection (Apple Jack is my "go-to"). I like the idea that they use paper straws but my straw always gets soggy before I'm done so I try to remember to grab my metal straw. It is a bit hard to get to with the one-way streets (right next to Papa Murphy's Pizza), but always worth the visit.”

“Great lunch specials and friendly service. Glad I found their new location in the old Bistro! (NOT associated with the Thai restaurant currently at the Thai Hut's old address.) My Pineapple Curry (level of heat 2 out of 5) was just spicy enough to feel warm without hurting. I loved the sweet heat. My fiance went for a 3 on his Pad Thai combo. He would have liked a little more shrimp, but said the flavor was excellent and the spice just right. I tried a little (German heritage, no tolerance for hot food) and the flavor really was great! I'll probably try it next time, at a safe level 2. Oh! Nearly forgot to mention the gorgeous soup with the lunch. So light and refreshing. Definitely try it!”

“This place was outstanding. One of the best places we ate while visiting town. Go early, because we got there at 1130 plenty of seating. Then it got crowded all seats taken by the time we left. Service was great, friendly, & fast. The food was outstanding & we even had some leftovers to take home. Facilities was clean. If we ever pass through we will eat here again.”

“Ordered the pulled pork and fries. The fries were some of the best I've had. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Pulled pork was tender and has a great crust. The price was right and the service was outstanding. I would recommend this place to anyone! It's great!”

“I absolutely LOVE May-Wa! Easily my favorite restaurant in The Valley. Incredibly nice staff. Everyone has been wearing masks each time I've come in to pick up my food. I totally trust them during the pandemic. (Definitely try the noodle bowls or rice plates! Oh and don't forget some spring rolls!)”

“Now this is what you call authentic. My husband adored his soft corn tortilla tacos which had plenty of onions and cilantro garnish. My smothered chicken burrito was absolutely huge and undoubtedly would have been much better if I hadn't let it sit for 3 1/2 hours and then microwaved it. All and all we're impressed and pleased and will return tomorrow 😀”

“Fun, festive atmosphere. We were disappointed they didn't have a good beer selection, but really enjoyed the food. Our server, Liz, was friendly and helpful. We had sweet potato fries and the best bison burger ever. The side salad was so fresh and they bring the toppings so you can personalize it. The fried mushrooms were a treat. Had to take my German chocolate cheesecake to go!”

“Woody's was recommended by the staff at the local hotel. The food was outrageously delicious, and was a great value for what we paid. We had the chicken and brisket plate with fries and onion rings, and everything was cooked to perfection. Our expectations were surpassed by the food and the friendly staff too. They're conveniently located on the corner of Main St. and San Juan Ave. and is very easy to find. We will be back!”

“Scott is the owner of the San Luis Valley brewing Co. his beers have gotten way better since he began! Every business has a learning curve and I am happy to drink on the street festivals that are happening. It’s really nice to be able to hear live music even if it is cold outside in summer! I like that there’s chairs and tables and dancing people. Thank you for creating music and food for the Valley Scott, it’s really a pleasure knowing you and supporting you in the community.”

“My husband and I ate here after going to see Top Gun. We ordered a few craft beers and some calamari and pizza. The calamari was great. Nice thick pieces with good dipping sauces. The pizza was excellent! The crust is to die for! Perfectly thin and crisp; not heavy and the toppings were great. We loved the ambiance. Reminds me of New York Bistros with a splash of rustic decor. Cozy and relaxing; nice music selection. We were pretty keyed up from the intense movie and this was the perfect place to come down. We highly recommend!!!”

“Good latte. Spacious seating though was expecting nicer decor/atmosphere. Nice service. My only complaint is the Sunrise Panini. The bread seemed to be ordinary thin white bread and was limp. Tomato rather than spinach would have been better too. It was small for the price. Their breakfast burrito is probably a safer bet.”

“The food was delicious. It took a pretty long time to get my check to leave, but aside from that, it was a great place to eat. The service was really good (minus waiting forever for the waitress to come around to give me my check), the waitress was very nice, and the food was good. Overall, a very nice place to eat some delicious food and will go back again next time I'm around the area.”

“Classic service policies I thought were long forgotten, I could not be happier with the experience. Humorous, engaging, and made each individual guest feel like royalty. The food was great, too... I recommend the Basil fried rice.”

“We loved the food here. Our server was very friendly and he gave us good service. We had the Mexican shrimp cocktail. Wow you get alot. It was delicious. For our entree we had tacos pastor. You get three with all the fixings. Would definitely recommend eating here if you like Mexican food.”

“Thoroughly impressed with the breakfast here. Customer service was stellar, prices are reasonable, and the food was straight-up good. Hashed browns are made from real bakers, home-made gravy, big portion sizes, and a delightful staff. Take a gander at the massive cinnamon rolls, too.”

“The best food in the San Luis valley. I have eaten there for 2 years close to 250 days a year and never been let down.. I don't do reviews. . but it's time to give senior chapo.and his staff credit for what they are.Muchas gracious Super Taco”

“First time I have been to this restaurant in the five years I've lived here. I truly waited too long. We were seated immediately and served drinks quickly. We ordered a variety of food and almost all of it was delicious. The only downfall from being avid Asian food eater would been the fried rice. It was not typical of your average fried rice more like the steamed rice with some veggies. Also just one more recommendation ...our waitress was okay but would have been nicer if we were greeted with a smile and more happy demeanor. We will definitely be back PS it was probably the best sesame chicken I've had in years. The price was average for lunch around $9.00 something a meal. Their hot and sour soup was totally awesome. Nothing else I can think was lacking. Be sure not to come between 2:00 and 5:00 as they take early afternoon break.”

“Imagine a greasy spoon diner as a bar. Good food if you order right and nice staff, but we had lipstick on our beer glass. Would be 5/5 stars if I was still in college.”

“Not a great experience. All I really wanted was a quick breakfast burrito and a good coffee. Was told it’d be awhile to make a burrito, then the barista messed up my coffee order. The coffees were in the dumpster before I got back to the car and I went to Milagros and everything was much better.”
