Pasta sauces were good. The garlic bread was not good, overly salted, chewy, greasy and thin. Not a good value. Large portions but larger prices. I prefer noodles and company.
Timing on service seemed strange, salad and bread was brought well after pasta. The tables are cluttered and a 4 top would comfortably seat only 3. Our table had a bottle on the table left from the previous diner but was lost in the clutter.
Baby seating available and clean. Affordable kids entrees.
Disclaimer: My photo of the Rasta Pasta does not do it justice. The lighting was off and I was too impatient to take a better photo.
Rasta Pasta picked a theme and rocked it. Some places have lazy themes throughout an establishment, but Rasta Pasta committed and did an excellent job to created a Caribbean ambience.
Considering it was my first time, I thought the right thing to do was to order the Rasta Pasta. The spicy dishes can be augmented with a +1, +2, or +3 spice modifier. I went with +2 and it was just right, I would not be able to handle the spice. The spicy pasta and jerk chicken were delicious. The portion was huge. I pride myself in eating everything on my plate no matter what, but I was defeated by this huge dish.
My waitress was excellent. She was friendly and attentive, but not the annoying type of attentive.
I also ordered the It Takes a Tribe Red Ale. I love red ales and always find it difficult to find one on draft. If I didnt drive myself, I could have had several more.
This place is fun. Decor and atmosphere is really unique. Our server, Cody, was great. Salsa has this fruit flavor with a little bit of heat. It is fantastic. Bananas Marley probably the best banana dessert you will find in southern Colorado. Wife loved the tortellini dish but she didn’t ask for any heat to be added to the jerk chicken therefore this made the chicken taste bland. Seafood Alfredo was good but the sauce was maybe a little heavy and really fills you up. The chips that go with the salsa look and taste exactly like store bought tostitos. This is a pasta restaurant... and a quite expensive one. 2 sodas, chips/salsa, 2 dinner entree, 2 desserts...$83 after tip. With that said... we will be back occasionally to try more of these rare and fun flavors and of course more banana Marley.
I don't do tomato sauce so I always judge pasta places by their white sauce. They have a shrimp white sauce that is great. Love to eat here. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is the price. A tad bit high for pasta.
