“I have been going to Cactus Jack's for years. At one point in my life I lived very close and would have a couple meals a week there. I would bring out of town clients there and they loved it everytime. I never wrote a review because I'm just not much of a review guy but I was reading some of these reviews and thought I would chime in. For starters Megan and Gary are the sweetest and nicest folks. They have made me feel welcome there since day one. They have had challenges from their deck being washed away to staffing issues (as all bars and restaurants do at times... that's just the biz). The food has always been good and the deck is just perfect. As far as anyone that complains about dogs the patio obviously doesn't understand Evergreen or Colorado for that matter. As my dog sits next to me snoring as I write this review I can tell you Evergreen loves animals more than it loves people. Dogs are part of our community and are more loved than most people here. What it boils down to is this is a fantastic bar with great owners, customers and staff. The food is always consistent and good. Me and my dog love hanging on the patio and listening to great bands in the summer. If you are in Evergreen you have got to stop by. You won't be disappointed!”

(Granted we're very engaged parents who actually watch our children and expect them to behave in public) but Bait Shack Tavern is wonderful. Boomer, Keely and Alex are all great people that we've had great conversations with. We’ve also brought our dog and everyone has treated her super sweet and loving. “After a hiatus my wife and I came back to Maya’s. Wow! We we ever so pleasantly surprised coming back! The food was amazingly delicious and flavorful. We ordered a little bit of everything off the menu, the Kitchen staff did not disappoint in the least bit. The Margaritas are a special treat that you shouldn’t miss either. There are some really good tequilas behind the bar at Maya’s. Can’t wait to go back and get some more of Maya’s.”

“We've been to Murphy's twice now and I can safely say it is one of the best joints in Evergreen. The aesthetic is warm and inviting with a beautiful rustic interior and nature side outdoor seating by the creek. Aside from the great location, hands DOWN some of the best food I've ever had. “I had the fish dinner and my wife had the meat board. Fish was very heavily battered which usually isn’t my thing but it was ok. I also would’ve liked more than the thimble sized serving of slaw. My wife enjoyed her meat board and so did I the items she shared. I also had a bowl of green chili which paired with their house made hot sauce was delicious. All their house made sauces were great as was the service. Will be back to try something besides the fish.”

“Amazing food! We shared the Elk Sausage Smashed (recommended by a friend) which includes incredible elk sausage slices, crispy fried onions, and a sweet/ spicy jalapeno jam on top. We also shared the bananas foster french toast. Both were delicious. While this place is tiny, tables seem to open quickly. The drive to get there is beautiful, coming from Denver. Husband was already planning the next visit before we left. Highly recommended!”
