One pizza was enough to split for a light lunch, you might want a whole one for dinner, which would fill you all the way up for $10-18. I also very much appreciate that they stock Beyond Sausage as a topping, and had no problem (or extra charge) to sub it for the meat on the daily special.”

“We were in Golden for vacation and stopped in while exploring. We really enjoyed the windy saddle cafe because it reminded us of a similar cafe we frequent in our hometown. “Great place tucked inside the hotel. We tried the burger and the prime rib melt. The service was fantastic until it was time to pay. Had to wait a while to get the check and then again to pay. The burger looked amazing but was just too dry. The prime rib melt was on point. The truffle parmesan fries are some of the best I've tried to date. Not overpowering at all. 4 stars due to the flavor of the burger the post dinner wait.”

“Went on a Friday evening around 6:30. Wait for table was 45 minutes & consistent with other reviewers experiences. Service was great. Servers were very attentive considering every table was filled. They have proper staffing. Had the all you can eat pizza buffet & it was great. Each time I went up for more slices, they had a different variety and the pizzas were hot, unlike other buffets that I've had. Great idea to have the buffet on your first visit so you can sample all the different pies. They give you a bottle of honey for your table to put on the crust after you've finished your slices. It was really good. I've never heard of doing that at any other pizza place before but I thought it was really good! I definitely recommend this pizza place to anyone who comes to town & will definitely eat there again next time I'm in town.”

“Nice rooms, extremely friendly staff, clean, and great location! They offered a dog-friendly room for my husband and I (and our dog Finnegan) and had a handicapped room for my mother in law. Both rooms were clean, comfortable, and charming (but not too cute or kitschy). Super convenient parking (connected to the hotel). Great location. It was wonderful being able to walk out the front door and be in downtown Golden. I highly recommend this place and will absolutely be staying here again.”

“Amazing food! We shared the Elk Sausage Smashed (recommended by a friend) which includes incredible elk sausage slices, crispy fried onions, and a sweet/ spicy jalapeno jam on top. We also shared the bananas foster french toast. Both were delicious. While this place is tiny, tables seem to open quickly. The drive to get there is beautiful, coming from Denver. Husband was already planning the next visit before we left. Highly recommended!”

“Great staff and the food is absolutely amazing. The pulled pork is tender and has an amazing smoke flavor (as it should), it almost melts in your mouth. They didn't quite have all the ingredients for a drink my wife requested, so they made one with what they had, and then immediately went across the way to Safeway to get the proper ingredients and remade the second drink at no extra charge! - very sweet of them. I appreciate sincere staff so when there was a mistake, they apologized and kept a smile on their face. Now while affordable, food reflected it. Eggs weren’t that good -bland. Bacon tasted strange almost like it had fake smoke seasoning added to it. I’ve never tasted bacon like this. It’s not a winner. Biscuits and gravy were fine. Pancakes are sweet. I saw a review saying they taste like cupcakes and they are sweet like that. I didn’t mind it. Friendly place so choose it based on what’s important to you.”

I LOVE local businesses and I'm thankful I had time to check them out. They have a veggie option which was amazing or you can customize your order as well. Eggs, potatoes, avocados, and cheese, oh my! Only one suggestion, I wish they had a veggie green chili and/or there was salsa on the burrito, "hot sauce is available on request" (maybe I should've asked:).
