Tequila's Family Mexican Restaurant

I’m honestly not that much of a Mexican food fan but Tequila’s surprised me! I got the Pork Shank En Mole. First off the meals are massive; I could barely eat the whole thing, but it leaves plenty of leftovers! The meat was cooked perfectly and the beans & rice were seasoned well. The server was nice and offered me tortillas; which I’m pretty sure didn’t even come with the meal! I definitely recommend stopping by. 5/5 ⭐️

The definitely give you lots of cheese. That's a good thing, and they didn't skimp. I just like my Mexican with wayyy more flavor and spice. If your a mild type you'll probably love it here. It's worth a try for sure.

Food was delicious, margarita was on point. Visiting from out of town first time, atmosphere was beautiful overall cozy. Waiter was quiet but friendly.

First, let me point out that at a restaurant named “Tequilas” you should expect that they would have an extensive tequila selection… they do not even have a tequila list, so that started off as a bit of a disappointment for the ones in our party that wanted a unique tequila experience.

Our waiter started out very nice when he greeted us, but in taking our drink order, he only got to half of the table, then the girl brought chips and salsa and set them on our table and our waiter just walked away. He did not come back for several minutes with the waters and we had to ask to finish our drink order. He was very curt and barely let us finish before walking away. He acted as if we personally offended him, it was absolutely bizarre.

The food was good, but not “the best Mexican food I’ve had” like other reviews say. The flank steak fafjitas were cooked really well, the chicken was done well, the tacos were nothing too special.

Now for the vegetable fajitas, which were disgusting…. They had CELERY in them!!! Uncooked, crunchy celery and carrots. It was almost as if they ran out of good veggies to use and threw in whatever they had close by, because the dish was awful.

We were really looking forward to a dinner out with just the parents during our family vacation, but this place was such a disappointment.

Reading through other reviews, it seems as if this place is very inconsistent… we did not get cabbage with our chips and salsa, other fajitas had a sauce on them, ours did not, etc.
