My husband and I had dinner here a few nights ago. We loved the atmosphere and waitstaff. The food was a bit pricey for what it was. We'd go back to the bar area but dinner is a toss up.
The staff and service is always phenomenal. They are welcoming accommodating, and genuinely friendly. They make great, quality cocktails with wonderful flavors. Every dish I've tried has been incredible, and they have THE best and freshest tasting oysters I've had anywhere not right on the coast. It is a tad pricey if you're on a budget, yet worth every penny! Oh, and their key lime pie & sorbet is beyond words. Every meal here should, as it does for me, start and end with the key lime pie. I would rate Jax as one of, if not THE, top restaurants in Fort Collins and surrounding areas.
We’re from Wisconsin and were in Fort Collins for Christmas and found ourselves at Jax for Christmas Eve. They had a limited menu and we weren’t in the mood for a big dinner. We ordered the peel and eat shrimp and it was the best shrimp ever!! I’ll drive 1,000 miles again just to eat that shrimp. The bartenders were pretty awesome and I’m glad we stopped in. Thanks Jax!
Food came out fast, and was cooked though but not overcooked. Food was over all excellent which made the price worth it. Drink selection isn't very good and the table setting they made felt like it was for skinny people cause you had to squeeze into your chair. Only 4 stars cause of how amazing the food was. Would give 5 but I think they could still improve on some things
A love - hate that I have to give 5 Stars review. I love Jax, hands down best Seafood in Fort Collins. The happy hour specials are always solid. Wine Wednesday half off bottles under $50 is a solid deal and the staff is great. Ask for Matt or Amy as your servers if you can. They do a bang up job.
