“I think there are good things about Mugs, and then a few less-than-great things. First, I'm a bit confused about their "Daily Happy Hour from 3-6." I came at 4:30 and asked for a grilled cheese sandwich (listed on the Happy Hour menu) and I was told that the kitchen is never open past 3. I pointed out the "Happy Hour" bit of the menu and the poor, apologetic cashier seemed just as confused as I was. This isn't the first, or even the second, time that I've been told that the food I wanted to order was unavailable for one reason or another :-( I've been looking at some of the other more recent reviews, and I agree with what some people have been saying about the sub-par customer service. I'm not saying that absolutely everyone here is a bad worker, but I'm sure there are plenty of friendly and hard-working college students who would love to work at Mugs. How do they end up with all of these workers who have trouble even cracking a smile? Otherwise, Mugs is one of the more comfortable coffee lounges to spend time in. They have plenty of outlets spread around and their drinks are always good. The art from local artists hanging on the walls is very pretty and it's awesome that they're supporting local artists. There are several nice pieces that are available to buy. There are also some pretty tasty looking things to eat in their front cooler area, but it never seems like they have the same food day after day, so you can't really count on being able to order something one day that you just ordered a week ago. That said, there seems to be a pretty good selection on the weekends. I'd say give Mugs a shot and judge it for yourself! The owners have created a very comfortable and aesthetically appealing coffee shop and they clearly know what they're doing when it comes to coffee. I consider Mugs to definitely be one of the better places in FoCo to go to study, hang out with friends, or just grab a drink. Might want to grab lunch beforehand, though :-)”

“I went during rush hour lunchtime and the service was not the best. I ordered a 20 piece nuggets and fries. The nuggets were chewy like they had been sitting under a heating lamp for 20+ minutes. The fries were a little better but under salted and they were obviously old. Not to mention they only had one person at the register inside and he was the brightest crayon in the box. The manager I assume had to keep coming up to the front to make sure orders were correct and apologize to people because the ice cream machine wasn't working. Go figure! ???? Yet the cashier wasn't even educated enough to tell customers that they couldn't order anything with ice cream in it. The whole situation was high stress, lots of customers were waiting for their food, and the manager/s had to keep leaving the kitchen to fix orders and check that the cashier was doing his JOB! Honestly, anyone with common sense would know that during rush hour you need a fast cashier up front and at least 3 good (if not excellent) workers in back! I'm very disappointed with McDonald's. They usually always have my order perfect and the food is usually always fresh.”

“Cups is a unique neighborhood coffee shop where we are always greeted and promptly waited on by the pleasant and attentive staff. This is our favorite coffee shop (near the CSU campus) to stop in when we visit Fort Collins twice a week. Like a little less effort when put the bun on would be nice. Very clean restaurant over all staff is friendly but seemed busy and overwhelmed when I was there. They messed up my order but in a good way where you end up with way more food than you order and you don't find out till you get home and look in the bag.”

“We came here while out of town to let the kids play. The large play area was blocked off due to a sharp pole on the inside that they needed to fix. However, I was surprised that they had a second play area 882151 of our blizzard wrong but the rest of our order was correct. We don't go for the food but for the entertainment for the kids and I thought they did a good job there. We went at night and it seemed clean. Bathrooms were also clean when we were there.”

He was the only employee in the whole place that talked to us, we had a really good conversation for around 10 minutes. This guy could’ve have us the food and left to go do more, be he decided to talk to us and care about the people in the store, and make their nights a bit better. “My boyfriend and I went here on 02/02/20 at about 1pm. We placed our order and were waiting in line (about 7-10 minutes) but not really minding as it was super bowl sunday afternoon and they're usually very fast with our orders. The car in front of us drove off without their orders and as we pulled up to the window, the car behind us backed out. We pulled up to the window and there were only two workers from what we see (Tammy and Tanner we believe) who were frantic and super apologetic for the wait. My boyfriend and I work customer service and just kept telling them it was okay and no rush since they said they were understaffed. Even so they offered us discounts, apologized profusely, and gave us the made drinks for the customers who abandoned them. Overall we left feeling great because they were still very nice and friendly the whole time despite the stress. I hope we got their names right because they really do deserve the praise since I would 100% go back after the situation.”
