Came upon this place walking from our hotel. So glad we did! while they have a limited menu everything we tried was excellent! Started with perfect Manhattan’s and the bartender hit it out of the park with icy cold delicious drinks. Had a crabcake and salad starter both were excellent. My husband declared it was the best crabcake he’s ever had.! Steak Frittes and fish of the day with delicious vegetables du jour were outstanding. I was even given a “taste” of a wine I was considering- never have had that offered before! Delicious food, reasonable prices. Will definitely be back next time in GJ
Great restaurant. Excellent food and the servers were friendly and professional. I will definitely return. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the ambiance needs some work. The bar area is well-lit. It's relaxing and has that nice amber glow. The restaurant however, was lit like a cafeteria, which really made it hard to fully appreciate the delicious food. The lights were so bright I didn't realize there was a candle on the table! It's an easy fix! Change out those 75 or 100-watt recessed bulbs for something softer, like 45-watt. That's plenty of light to see by and it gives a much warmer feeling. I would match the light in the bar area. Great restaurant otherwise.
Enjoyed a cappuccino and beignet as well as ham and cheese croissant. Service food and people were wonderful
I had their chocolate eclair and it was the best I’ve ever had! Real cream and chocolate. And John is a very nice owner
This is my first review of 317 after they rebranded, it was only for brunch and the review will be updated as I visit more. That said the interior space is comfortable and the staff is awesome and super helpful. They didn’t have the breakfast croissant since it’s Christmas Eve but it sounds p good. The pear pastry was really good, the quiche was OK though I like it with more veggies and a firmer set on the eggs, overall flavor was good. The plant based sausage roll/pastry thing was a little too much for me; think sausage log wrapped in puff pastry. The mimosas were great. I’m looking forward to trying the dinner there and updating the review.
If you like French pastries you can’t go wrong but it’s not quite a brunchy place like some other restaurants.
