“Bar type atmosphere. Staff was good. Food was better than expected. Had the bacon cheese burger with onion rings. Was a little pricey ($12). Burger was a little dry but did have good flavor. O-rings were very good.”

“This review is just for the drive through aspect of the restaurant. I was extremely happy with my first experience through drive through!!! Fast, friendly, and cheap. I got a breakfast burrito for 5.50 at 7am and was back on the road before 7:10am!!! Super tasty and great size (I’m a BIG guy). Definitely gonna come through a lot more!!!”

“Excellent authentic Mexican food at an affordable price! Incredible. Lots of vegetarian options. Also try their wide selection of Mexican drinks... comfortable seating, but also convenient for take out!”

“We heard good things about their food so went there tonight. Firstly, the place is NOT appealing at all. Chipped, old paint, taped windows, wobbly tables. I don't think they want sit-down customers because when food is ready. It comes in a Styrofoam box with plastic utensils. I'm giving it 4 stars because the food we ordered WAS really good. We ordered ground beef tacos and although I think the tacos were a bit overdone and almost dark brown, they were still good. Loved the chili relleno. It was flat instead of the rolled ones We get at other restaurants. So fresh! Lots of people coming and picking up orders. No one sitting down to eat.”

“The location is beautiful. The charcuterie was delicious. My husband loves wine, I’m more of a beer gal so I got their sweetest wines some of which were not sweet at all and simply not my taste. Service was sub par, hence the 4 stars. Very casual atmosphere.”

“Spent one night at the Wine Country Inn on route to Grand Canyon North Rim and dined onsite at Caroline's. 5 star restaurant any day of the week! Outstanding service. Immediate seating with our reservation. Surprisingly high-end top notch gourmet menu. Great selection of wines, cocktails and spirits. Food was outstanding. My wife had a spring salad and I had the French Onion as appetizers. We were served complimentary fresh baked warm bread rolls with creative textured butter balls. My entree was the trout and my wife had the salmon. For dessert we shared a rich, creamy Palisade Peach bread pudding. Views from our table were beautiful. An overall great experience that far exceeded our expectations for such a casual town as Palisade. Two thumbs up to the owners and managers and staff.”

“Great vibes and awesome atmosphere. Very intimate and great for a couples date. Awesome food and even better selections of drinks. I love a darker beer so woodcutters daughter was definitely my fave. Dark and close to a meal in a cup. Also had the pumpkin spiced cider and that was way better than I thought. For real that cider is legit. Awesome experience all around and great people. Thank you for your awesome service and keep up the great work!!”

“Went there today with some friends who came into town for the Palisade Peach Festival. The atmosphere was fabulous, with both an inside and outdoor seating area. There was a water mister, on the patio, that kept everyone nice and cool. They offered several unique flights of different liquors, including Tequila, Brandy and Bourbon. Each one was unique and interesting. My taco bowl was ok but a little bland. It had a generous portion of avocado that was fresh and delicious. The chicken was amazing, and I could tell it had been smoked before it was grilled. We also had some kind of pita bread dish, that I'm very sorry but I can't remember the name of. It had a honey and vinaigrette sauce and was so insanely delicious we ended up ordering the second one. After we ate the second one, we debated on getting a third but decided we were full enough. I highly recommend this place and predict it will turn into one of Western Colorado's hidden gems!”

“This is the best Mexican food in the valley. Erika and her family truly are the nicest people around and make the most amazing burritos you will find. I love going there and seeing the smiles on their faces. They are wonderful people making bomb food!! Highly recommend! Thank you guys for all you do!”

“Worth a try—so much potential here! The decor and atmosphere are really fun! It wasn’t quite our thing though—a bit loud (peak dinner hours), not super flavorful (kept adding the salad dressing to my cauliflower taco), and generally seemed overpriced and lacking the “wow factor”…except the chips and vinaigrette salad dressing. I know it’s a newer spot, so tons of grace for these guys. Could be something really special. Will give it some time and try it again.”

“A nice motel and a very good restaurant and bar. We were riding through Mesa on motorcycles and it was getting late and cold. While the restaurant/motel has an older classic look from the exterior, the rooms are very nice and modern. The food is wonderful, fresh made, good portions and a great value. A fun bar with an outdoor deck eating/drinking/smoking area. And to top it all of, a very friendly, accommodating staff!”

“This is one of the most friendly and comfortable parks I’ve ever stayed at in my over 30 years of RVing! It’s not fancy, but it’s most certainly comfortable and welcoming. The owner, “Shane” has got to be one of the nicest people I’ve ever met, and he made my wife and I feel more like we were staying with good friends rather than merely being guests at an RV park. Shane helped us to accommodate our extra vehicle and the small utility trailer it was towing in such a way that the trailer was convenient to us yet was not in anyone else’s way. When I had difficulty figuring out how to turn on the water at our site, he was right there solving the problem in a couple of minutes. Though the park seems to have quite a number of long term residents, it is homey, comfortable and quiet. Everyone seems to be very nice and friendly. The park features a pretty complete convenience store that was open from around 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM most days except Sunday when its hours were something like 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM. The store features fresh, made to order pizza that’s very good at a very reasonable price. Many locals, including our son who we were visiting, stop by the store to get lunch and other supplies as the store is about the best stocked grocery store within miles. It has all of the usual convenience store stuff including 10 lb. bags of ice, milk, eggs, ice cream treats, and much more. The restroom / shower is modern, always very clean, properly stocked, well lit and open 24 hours with a push button combination lock for access during the hours when the store is closed. The sites are adequately spacious though not large, but our 30 ft. trailer, pickup and auxiliary SUV were easily accommodated at our site without being in anyone else’s way. Staying there in June as we did, it can get a bit hot during the day. Our site had a very nice tree that shaded the curbside of the trailer most of the afternoon, and the nights usually cooled off enough that it was unnecessary to run the AC at night. Also, a 15 minute drive up Colo. highway 65 will put you in alpine forests, loaded with tall Douglas Fir and aspen trees, wild flowers, dozens of crystal clear lakes with plenty of great fishing and with a temperature as much as 20 degrees cooler than at the park. Getting to the park from I-70 requires a winding 12 mile trip on Colo. 65 “up the canyon” on a well paved, well maintained road. While it is somewhat of a climb, the ascent is mostly pretty gradual with only a couple of quite short but reasonable grades. And it’s a positively beautiful drive. You may want to make sure you have your dash cam rolling just to record the wonderful scenery. Barely a mile away on highway 65 is an excellent “down home” restaurant, “The Wagon Wheel”, or simply “The Wheel” as it’s locally known. Outstanding American food with very generous portions, including simply great breakfasts starting at 8:00 AM. Like the park it’s homey, very comfortable, clean and the service is excellent. Don’t miss it! Overall, I strongly recommend Mesa RV Park. We spent nearly 3 weeks there visiting our son who lives about a mile away. About the only “down side” was that the park’s WiFi signal is very weak and we were unable to use it. But since we have our own hub with unlimited service, this was barely a minor inconvenience as the cell phone service at the park is strong and dependable.”

“Had a fantastic time here with some good friends. The staff was friendly and the Mountain was not to crowded during New Years 2022. The resort is more local and it could use some updates but I think that is a small thing. There are some great blue runs here. Definitely worth a visit especially if it just got snow!”

“Camped here with a friend during a cross-country road trip in September 2020. Booked via HipCamp and had a wonderful experience. It was sad to hear that the diner burnt down the next month, but looks like it is being re-built and camping is still offered. We were looking for a simple, quiet, and safe place to camp on our way from Utah to Denver. There are rave reviews on HipCamp and loved the idea of staying near an organic pickle farm! Plus, this place offered showers, a toilet, and a highly rated diner. It was after dark when we arrived and no one was inside the diner, which was a little spooky in such a small town. Brian arrived shortly to greet us and was incredibly kind, even asking if we wanted any snacks from the closed diner. He was willing to make us milkshakes! We politely declined, and he brought out some pickles and flavored waters inside (so kind). We set up camp and slept well. It was very quiet and felt like a safe area for two female travelers. The next morning we utilized the shower and bathrooms, which were clean. The shower is on an enclosed deck, so it was a little chilly but the water was nice and hot. There was a beautiful view and a nice grassy area for my dog to run around before we left. The diner didn't open until after we left but based on the rave reviews and Brian's personality I imagine it's a great place to dine. Would definitely return to try it out and camp again.”

“This place, its food, and its people were a major highlight of our trip from NYC. Boozy milkshakes (we had the key lime and peach shakes) were amazing to the point where the key lime shake just tasted like sticking a straw into a pie! The pizza we custom made to order came out absolutely delicious, and that's coming from someone who's been eating NYC pizza his whole life. Also, the pretzels and cheese bread were dope! The people who run the place were fantastic too! They were not only very kind and patient while taking/making our ridiculous order only an hour before closing, they also had a great sense of humor about it all. Good people, good food, good vibes, and good times. I'm glad they moved out to CO and opened this place. Connecticut didn't deserve them.”

“First time eating at Freddy's and it was great! The fries have a nice seasoning to them. The burger was a little too flat for my liking. But, I love the story of Freddy's life. He seemed to be a great man and I'm glad his business flourished. The staff was friendly and it had an old fashioned vibe to the inside. Go check out Freddy's! Delicious custard. 😋”
