My husband and I dined here for dinner while passing through. The ambience was rustic and western, and the service was very good. I had the early bird filet special and it was done perfectly, and my husband was happy with his Rocky Mountain oysters. We had chips and salsa/guacamole for starters. The chips were hot and fresh but the sauces were just ok. My $2.99 margarita special didn’t seem to have much booze in it, but what would anyone expect for that price? Overall, the experience was good. The restaurant was very busy but it was a Friday night and I’m guessing there are limited choices in town.

Friendly, responsive, comfortable service. Filet Mignon was a perfectly cooked medium rare. Loaded baked potato was on point, and cream of broccoli soup was so good that I requested seconds. Bread wasn't fresh, and frozen margarita was only so-so (seriously not sure there was any tequila in it). Overall our meal was very, very good and we look forward to eating here again next time we come through town.

They have a great burger. I should have ordered that or not order a appetizer. I ordered the 10 ounce Strip Steak with French Fries and Cole Slaw that was a special along with Chicken Butts appetizer. The Butts were great, but the meal was cooked at the same time as my appetizer. After I ate the appetizer they brought my meal 15 minutes later and the Steak was cold and conjealed, the Fries were soggy and cold, the cole slaw had absolutely no flavor and the dinner roll was hard as a rock. They claim to be a Steakhouse, but have no clue how to serve one properly. Next time I want to go out for steak I will drive 65 miles to Pueblo and pay more at Texas Roadhouse. If I ever go back to Boss Hogs I will only get the burgers that I have had no problems with, but not anytime soon.

Adequate at best. The food and drinks had to be sent back and they still were not right. Have seen better from them in the past.
