High Country BBQ

THE BEST BBQ WE HAVE HAD IN COLORADO!! Oh my! Brings us back home! The coleslaw is to DIE FOR, wishing I got some to take home! The owner was beyond sweet and caring and checked on us after getting the food to make sure we loved it! My son who is the most picky eater ate EVERY single piece of the pulled pork I had and even some brisket and stole the rest of the potato salad! I was amazed! Thank you for the delish food and kindness we will be back!!☺️☺️

We were on our way back to Denver from skiing, stuck in traffic and starving. Thankfully we found High Country BBQ! Be sure to pay attention because it’s easy to miss, but well worth the stop. Jan was welcoming and friendly and the food was amazing! We’ll definitely be stopping by when we pass through again.

Their food is out of this world good. Jan let us sample every meat and it’s the best bbq I’ve had in FairPlay and at least top 3 ever!

Absolutely delicious, the husband was a pit master for many years down in Texas, and his skill shows! Their small building is a humble beginning, but their hearts are warm and kind and we'll be back.

We ordered ribs, brisket and chicken here. The ribs is flavorful, bone slide right off and seasoned perfectly, the brisket is so juicy and tender, and the chicken is great for what it is. Jan is so passionate about their food, and her hot BBQ sauce is absolutely the best of the best. I would visit again and recommend anyone who passed by give them a shot.
