“We stayed three nights in our pop up camper here while exploring Great Sand Dunes National Park. Nice facilities for camping, clean restrooms and laundry facilities. They also have a well stocked gift shop and boards for the dunes you can rent on site. The hot spring fed pools were a great way to relax after a morning of exploring the Dunes. The Greenhouse was great if you want a little quieter atmosphere (21+) out of the wind. Awesome atmosphere with all the plants, plus the food and drinks at both pool side areas were tasty. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!”

“Hidden Gem! La Garita is a WONDERFUL place to stop for basic necessities, helpful information, and a hearty homemade breakfast, especially if you are camping in Penitente Canyon. I could not be happier to have found this place and will definitely be stopping by every time I camp in the area. Eric and his family are so kind and helpful and make a mean breakfast! ** They DO carry ice, firewood, and those types of essentials. Support a local family business! Oh and they have THE MOST DELICIOUS HOMEMADE COOKIES. We threw ours over the fire for a nice gooey nighttime treat. :)”

“Was a tourist and honestly loved the place. Fast pace. The worker cared about the heath of workers and told a sick employee to stay at home if they're sick that they'll figure it out.
