“There was a long wait to get my food but they are a bit understaffed today so I can understand that, but they made up for it everywhere else. The food was EXCELLENT. My omelette was amazing, hot and fresh with huge portions. Eggs and toast were great. My server Paul was attentive and friendly. 5 stars.”

“The BEST formal dining on the mountain. The staff was so lovely and accommodating. The food was outstanding. It’s so rare to go to a place where every. Single. Thing. You order is amazing. And let’s not forget the gorgeous views of the twilights and engineer mountain !”

“Good brisket sandwich! I got the beef brisket sandwich with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy. The mashed potatoes were real and with a little peel in them. They had outdoor seating and the staff was helpful. Overall good stuff!”

“Great food and service! I had the ravioli with marinara and meatballs - excellent and a large portion. My wife had the clams and pasta - tasty. The beet and goat cheese salad was excellent and the ceasar was good. Buy one get one half off 4-6. Thanks Coal Bank!”

“What a great place! Food and beverages were delicious!! The owners and staff are great! We stopped to have lunch and ended up going back for dinner then we went back later for a round of Karaoke!! I have never dared to get up and sing but the owner went on stage and sang with me. What a great guy, so much fun!! Some of the best people we met on our vacation! Can’t wait to make it back.”

“I had dinner here twice and the restaurant is quaint with various artifacts of older times decorating the walls. The menu for lunch and dinner is different and pretty broad spanning Mexican, Italian, burgers, sandwiches, steaks and salads. I highly recommend the Mexican options because one of the owners is Mexican so the Mexican options are authentic! The salsa was delicious, the chips were hand made in house, and the red sauce is aromatic and with a kick most love. I recommend trying the Enchiladas Montadas because it was a menu item that i had never seen anywhere else (I'm usually around the east coast though). The loaded nachos also are great if you'll love the homemade tortilla chips! Vegans can get the salad bar buffet, or their newer salad, the mountain medley (ask for without cheese). There are other basic options like fries, sweet potato fries and maybe pasta (i didn't verify ingredients). They're the largest restaurant in town these days, but they can still get very busy with the train tourists, but if you're hungry, you'll get a good sized meal and be satisfied.”

“We had the best time here! The drinks are delicious, crazy unexpected drinks on their drink menu. We got to meet the owner who is super cool, and the bartender was also super cool. We are visiting from Texas and are so glad that we found them on our last night here in Silverton.”

“FANTASTIC place for breakfast!!! Louis is awesome & wait staff is also. But don't rely on any of the local towns people to recommend this place to you. Don't know what's up with that? Stop in and see them. Won't be disappointed!”
