For real, this coffee was delicious. I would recommend anyone try The Coffee Cowboy when they're in Telluride. The wait was terribly long for just me (and my well-behaved dog) = 1 coffee. The customer in front of me waved down every person she knew coming off the slope which made her small order turn into a very large one. She kept adding drink after drink to her order which left me standing there thinking, wow, she could have let me go in front of her knowing it's just me and my dog here for a coffee. Her and all the people walking over to her in line started petting my dog, everything was great. So once her 15+ specialty drinks were ordered, it was my chance at the window, or so I thought. I stepped up all excited, only to be told, it's going to be a minute, I have a lot of drinks to make. Yep. So, I had to wait even longer. And, yes, I wanted this coffee, so I did. I waited. Luckily, I was able to really dig in to the menu and I actually changed my mind on what I wanted multiple times, so it all worked out. Heck, I was in Telluride. I got my iced lone ranger, tipped $3 and walked off. The barista was by herself, taking the orders, making the drinks and handing them out. She was hustling that morning and I can appreciate that. I share my thoughts and this story to remind others of social etiquette and to be polite and thoughtful. Peace and Love.
Right next to the free gondolas, Coffee Cowboy is the perfect place to get some joe before heading out to the slopes or the mountain village. They have 5 or so specialty lattes that rival Yetis Grind in the Vail Valley. I personally love the Annie Oakley (caramel and cinnamon).
The baristas are nice and there's no better place to wait for your coffee than right at the bottom of the slopes, looking up the mountain.
Super friendly hipster coffeeshop in telluride . I love their oat milk latte with lavender (although they ran out of oat for the last two days). They also have an amazing Gluten Free and vegan banana bread.
Cute little coffee shop from a trailer, outdoor seating including a couch. Cold brew was nice on a hot day, $6 for a 16oz. If you’re not looking for it, you might miss it because it’s tucked away.
