Nice environment and awesome service and menu

we came there late and all they did is reheat the old pizza other times it was fine but that time it was horrendis

We were in the New Canaan area and couldn’t figured out where to eat so we looked at Google maps and ended up at Locali. Parking was conveniently located across the street in the public lot and only cost $1.00 for the 2+ hours we were there.

We expected to find a regular pizza shop. Instead we found a warm welcome and an inviting restaurant with small bar, our favorite place to sit.

I wanted a unique cocktail and was presented. with the Amelia. I still can’t quite put my finger on the ingredients. It had a hint of grapefruit but I was told it didn’t have any in it. Either way, it was very good and I would have it again.

Since their speciality is pizza we opted for the Wild New England topped with Taleggio cheese (consistency of Brie but strong), wild mushrooms, Pecorino Fior Di Latte (cheese), and Porcini (mushroom) oil. The Neapolitan-style pizza cooks quickly in wood-burning stove.

They also offer a few take-home speciality items like honey from Chevy Chase’s honeybee hives in Bedford, NY.

This is a small restaurant and we were lucky to arrive when it was empty (around 4:30) but afterwards it filled up quickly. When it is warm that have a nice outdoor seating area.

If you are looking for authentic Italian Pizza, this is the place to go. Amazing pizza at affordable prices. This place is a Must Go! Enjoy the outdoor patio in the summer as well! 5 Stars!

Friendly attentive staff. Small dining room so call for a reservation. Outdoor dining area on good weather nights helps. Nice decor. Wood fire oven makes great, fresh pizza! The menu offers a good selection.
