“My mom and I stopped by to check out the newly opened Bagel Bros! We were very happy with our garlic bagel with scallion cream cheese and avocado melt. While we were waiting for our food, we decided to get a couple chocolate chip bagels and pastries but we couldn’t resist after looking at them! The staff was friendly, and they balanced the volume of their orders well! I was glad that we lived only a few minutes away because we hadn’t realized it was take-out only, but maybe when the weather gets warmer they’ll have some tables set up outside. Definitely a great addition to Shelton!”

“I was able to finally get to this bakery today. The cafe itself is adorable and set up beautifully. It was very clean and had clear instruction on how to order/pay/etc. The staff was very kind. The food was AMAZING!! The dirt bombs are highly recommended, and I had them slice up the deli rye bread as a gift to my Dad who LOVES this type of bread. He said it was the best he ever had. I also bought a loaf of sour dough and I will be using it for spinach dip this weekend. 100% recommend this place!”

“I can't say enough about this cute little cafe. I stopped in for lunch earlier this week and have been back three times. The menu is small but all the ingredients are fresh and high quality (smoked salmon salad with goat cheese & strawberries, turkey & havarti sandwich, warm ham & brie sandwich). Pastries were divine, I ended up bringing some into the office for sampling! Sadly, I can't drink coffee any more, but there was high quality coffee here which I would have loved. The decor is beautiful, comfortable and cozy. This will be one of my regular stops!”

I have eaten at bakeries in many countries around the world and often times go on a little bakery tasting frenzy tour when in a new city. I compare a new place to excellent and renowned bakeries the world over. This is tough and diverse competition. Yet Swoon stands among the best bakeries - ANYWHERE! They have figured out how to do Gluten free baking so well that you are not judging it on a weighted scale - as in you award extra points to the baked good score because it is gluten free and the taste may actually be lacking a bit. This seems to be common practice for reviewing "healthy foods". Not here - I challenge anyone to be able to reliably distinguish these as gluten free - they just taste amazing, and do not have issues with texture like many other gluten free products.”
