“First time passing through spotting Big Daddy's. Got a coffee and the best breakfast sandwich I ever had. Ham, cheese, bacon on some kind of roll but it was delicious. I couldn't remember the name but then spotted this place again. Got my same sandwich and it was delicious as it was the first time. Coffee was great as well.”

“A solid 4 stars. Couldn't go the full 5, because I think it's $10-$15 more expensive than it should be; and because the layout is nothing special. Other than that it's an excellent course. It's in great shape, greens rolled very smooth and true. The pace of play was excellent, and I was a walking single on a picture perfect Friday for golf. The fairways and tee boxes were all full and lush. I will absolutely be back, but probably not on a weekend or holiday because of the rates. ”

“I live down the road and had been watching the Opening Soon sign outside. Went in just for a drink (sparkling wine and peach schnapps) last Friday evening and sat at the bar. Proprietors were friendly but not overbearing. Was impressed by the ambiance and perused the dinner menu definitely wanting to return sometime. Ended up going back for lunch two days later. Lunch menu was different and not as exciting but still had some good choices. I had the BLT with locally sourced bacon from Truelove Farm and sweet potato fries on the side. The sandwich could've used more mayo but then again, I could've asked! My friend had the "No Worries" burger with regular fries. We both enjoyed our meals. Sat on the patio with a view of the farm across the street. Can't beat that! I expect this place to become a regular for us!”

“Having been a Litchfield resident my whole life up until a couple years ago and knowing the history of the building as a jail, I was very excited to go to Marketplace. I was not disappointed. Julie, our server, was great. She recommended an app based on our choice that was delicious. My wife got Salmon and I got stuffed Meatloaf, both of which were delicious and we'll prepared and how the dishes looked when served. Atmosphere was great, probably heightened a little bit being Road Race weekend but it was fun and I definitely hope to be back soon!!”

Burgers are good. We always sit in the bar section. Bartenders are always friendly! When you are done eating, wander over to "This and That" thrift store. It supports Habitat- single homes for low income people.”

Sea scallops are probably my favorite food and I was delighted with the scallop and mussel special, over a creamy pasta with spinach. The scallops were large, fresh and sweet and the mussels were wonderful. The portions were generous. Everyone in our party was equally pleased with their choices. “Dinner at the Wood Creek Bar and Grill turned out to be an outstanding dining experience. Fine food and warm hospitality make for an outstanding combination on a cold night, especially in a town as beautiful as Norfolk, Connecticut. We made our way through the crowd in the bar area, to be greeted by friendly waitstaff and our hostess/owner Heidi. The food was really wonderful; my girlfriend ordered the salmon, which the chef happily cooked to order, and I ordered the seafood over linguine, which was both delicious and so large we took it home and I enjoyed it for two more nights. We were so full we decided to skip dessert, although we have our eye on the Haystack Mountain Sundae, a local landmark that is visible from the large free parking area downtown. Next time! Consider Wood Creek Bar and Grill highly recommended.”
