“Taco salad and a hot Italian grinder....let's start w the positive..the waitress (a local woman) was fantastic, friendly and charismatic, service oriented, warm welcoming service . The chef needs to step his game up, the hot Italian grinder was missing the roasted red peppers and we asked for NO tomatoes -you guessed it, we got tomatoes. The grinder was chintzy on meats- for sure. Salsas has one of the areas best deli sandwich places literally right next door -the Salsas grinder wasn't even in the same league w the deli but more on par w an over priced Subway grinder. This location won't be able to survive here if isn't competitive w established local eats..seems kind of silly to offer up a grinder that expensive that falls so short of the neighbors grinder..heck it fell short or Subway.. The taco salad was good, but really really lacking guac and salsa..the little tiny cups just don't cut it w a big salad...I feel like the chef is being cheap w the condiments..I think the little cup of salsa probably held 4 tablespoons lol..why are you being shy w meats and condiments????...we ended w the churros - a nice treat..I really wanted the Tres Leches...but seems they were out, all in all we enjoyed the churros :) ..I hope Salsas sticks around and takes to heart the mild criticism ..what we had was enjoyable w the exception of the grinder..with so many pizza joints and delis in Terryville/Plymouth Salsas is going to have to do better than this w the Italian food and grinders....We are excited to see Salsas in town and hope they continue to improve..”

“One of the nicest courses around the area. The slopes and greens make this a very difficult course. There is a lot of roll and lots of hills. There is water and rivers to cross and lots of hazards, you will become very good playing this course. It is a well kept course and the price reflects that, but not an overcharge for the experience. The set up of the course is very well thought out also and the length is perfect. The greens and tees were very nice and the fairways are usually in perfect condition”

“We decided to try Geppetto on East Main in Torrington .We sat at the bar to enjoy a relaxing dinner. The Bartender made a very good expresso martini. The meat/cheese board appetizer was outstanding. My NY strip was tasty but could have been cooked to the medium I ordered. My friends fish was tasty but cold 🤷♂️. We will be back to try it again sometime in the new year.”

“Reviewer Alex S’s experience below doesn’t match mine. Their beers are really superb. I’m not an IPA guy but Gentle on my mind is one I’ll make an exception for. And their coffee porter is really outstanding. Staff are fine - haven’t had an issue. I pop in regularly. The venue is really nice in summer - haven’t been in winter yet and a good rotation of food trucks. Don’t forget to put your phone number in for the rewards - nice to get a keepsake brewery glass.”

“I wish I could give them more stars, as I understand the challenges business owners are going through. However, I felt that the experience wasn't worth the $350+ I paid for the night. Let me emphasize that we really enjoyed the outdoor space. The ground was well kept. There was plenty of space to hang out, and there were basketball hoops, volleyball net, tennis court as well as a few other amenities and games. There weren't a lot of guests the night we stayed. We had the lawn to ourselves and the amenities were pretty much unoccupied. We stayed in the woodside building. The building had easy access to the outside and there's a large lawn right in front of the building for humans and dogs to enjoy. However, the room itself was very disappointing. Although it was above ground, the low ceiling plus the old house smell made it feel like we were living in a basement. The bed was squeaky and wobbly. Although the building was quiet overall, the next room's floors were so squeaky that I was awaken at 6.30am when the person next door started to walk around. We were also not given any cups, not even the disposables ones, just a broken ice bucket. I'm sure my dog enjoyed her stay. I just wished the room was better given the price tag.”

“Came here for lunch stayed for the ice cream. Lunch was a typical quality, sweet potato fries were good and my mom had grilled cheese with tuna that she said was really good. Kids meal was really cute and a good amount of food. The ice cream is so good! I got Maine black bear and I loved it! Love ice cream with raspberry. My mom had the cherry blossom and loved it too! The small (two scoops) were two generous scoops. Glad my sister recommended we go here.”
