Excellent! Great service, yummy lobster roll. Cute little boat ride across the channel!
Love coming here by boat. Menu has lots of great choices. Excellent lobster roll. And a good list of cocktails.
You feel you are no longer in The Americas. Off the beaten path, but what a great destination in Essex, CT. Free short ferry ride to the island, restaurant and boat marina on the Connecticut River that can be reached by car, bike or boat. And it hits you with such a delightful vengeance, simply awesome. The gleam of the sun reflecting on the waters before you, the small pleasure boats and big yachts gently moving up and down in the waters, the shores across, the sound of the seaplane landing and taking off at on the CT River, dropping off passengers and taking in new ones is something from a long gone by era. The settings of Siren Kitchen & Bar Restaurant are spectacular and that's why we keep going back. Yes…it is overpriced for this seasonal ‘island” restaurant. It’s location, location, location! In this new world where we are all locked in to stay in the US for the next year or so, it’s a good place. We do go back many times… the boat ride over from Long Island Sound or the Connecticut, the location, the beautiful fresh water that leads out to Long Island Sound keeps calling us back time and time again. (but I wish they served breakfast. What a way to start the day out…) Cheers!
We LOVE this place. I went to Sirens with my Dad and Sister for dinner one evening during the week and it was just such a positive experience all around. The staff was so kind and friendly and working so hard during a time that is so uncertain for a lot of people. They don’t take reservations BUT when we arrived it was a lovely night and they had an order window to get a drink while you waited. The cocktails were fantastic. Once we were seated, we loved that the menu has something for everyone. Simple and delicious options. They even had a gluten free menu. Our meals were wonderful, the service was wonderful. We will definitely be coming back through out the summer.
Just enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the new and immaculate Siren Kitchen and Bar. Such a pleasant and unique outdoor dining experience on Essex Island Marina. My lobster roll was deliciously succulent, served on a hot buttered roll, with a generous amount of lobster meat. My husband’s fish and chips, also a generous portion, was fresh and tasty, served with French fries and a side of citrus flavored coleslaw. Cold brewed coffee complemented our meals. We will definitely be back!
