Excellent sushi experience. I have long been waiting for a quality sushi place to open in New Haven and this place truly delivers. The Omakase was delightful albeit a pricey experience. If you are not open to spending too much try one of their specialty rolls; the black cod roll was the best roll I've ever had. Highly recommended place!
Otaru is for serious sushi lovers. The care they take with each piece is impressive. Subtle, original flavors. Our whole crew enjoyed themselves. The hostess took great care of us. I love this place.
Was in New Haven last week and was in the mood for japanese food. Found this spot on google with good reviews so I decided to try it. All I have to say is now I know why it has such high ratings. The food was amazing and every bite made you wanting more. The place was well decorated with calming music. Would definitely come again.
My friends and I were really craving sushi last night, and one of our classmates recommended Otaru Sushi, so we decided to check it out. Oh my goodness, you will not believe the rich burst of explosion in your mouth of such a juicy exquisite taste!! Honestly, words cannot even describe how fresh and succulent the fish is. The service was also superb; the waiter was so nice and the food came out very fast. Purely a hidden gem in New Haven, two thumbs up!
This place is going to become world famous. The staff is professional. Service was great and attentive. The chef is amazing at his craft. The overall experience is awesome and different then anything in New Haven. And lastly the sushi is amazing!!!
