They struck out big time when the brought me my clam chowder with pork in it, but then they hit a grand slam with the salads. The views and ambience are still spectacular-- I always came here for the moonrise when it was Lenny's and Joe's. A slight downside is they no longer serve Sea Hag beer on tap.
Location very pretty on the water. The food was delicious. Very pricey as food prices go up . Very very very noisy. Difficult to have a conversation. Service needs improvement. Will give it another chance for a delicious meal.
Dined here with a group of 7. We had a 630pm reservation and were able to sit immediately but took advantage of their large bar for a pre-dinner drink. Benny was the bartender and he was friendly and made an excellent drink. For dinner, the steaks were amazing. We had the rib eye, tomahawk, porterhouse and shared them. They were cooked perfectly. Appetizers were shared and awesome as well. We tried some deserts too. Key Lime pie was light and flavorful. Tyler was our waiter and he was extremely attentive. It's a bit noisy in there, hopefully they do something about the acoustics - that's my only gripe. I'll be back for sure, the outside patio looks like it will be perfect for the summer.
It's a new restaurant with some teething issues. The service at our table was extremely slow. We got more attention from the bus boy and runner. Asked for the check twice. We finally got it to our table 30 minutes after asking...I had to run the card up myself to the server station after 10 minutes. Not sure what that was about. The other areas seemed to be running well, but it wasn't even very busy as we showed up at 3:30pm to a near empty restaurant.
The food was ok. The calamari was cooked well. We had a risotto that was Mushy AND soupy...for the nearly $40 it cost we were glad that they took it away and gave us a comp.
The restaurant itself has been nicely renovated from the previous place that was here. Looks gorgeous and great for the area if successful. The exterior just needs some weeding and landscaping and it should be awesome.
Wish them good luck and hope to have a better experience next time!
Oysters were room temperature. Bar food service does not come close to prices. Sorry, but veal parm with mashed and veggies? Bottom line, good food. Quality of food and service does not come close to price. Very new, I hope they work out the kinks. Beautiful views and location. Patio will cut the noise level.
