Daddy Jack's

The vibrancy and friendliness of the efficient staff gave Daddy Jack's a wonderful and enjoyable vibe. We ate our dinner to the accompaniment of a local live band. The jazz & downtempo music & singing made for a very enjoyable time. We would definitely go again. The restaurant specializes in huge brick oven pizzas, which many of the patrons could be seen enjoying. The specials (recommended) were off the hook & the portions just right. We enjoyed swordfish risotto, steak and chicken-fried gravy, mahi mahi. The desserts, trees leeches cake and a chocolate mousse pie, were delicious. Our waitress, Nova, was patient, down to earth and efficient. When we return to New London Daddy Jack's will be on our go to list. Highly recommended!!

Daddy Jack's, like its namesake, is a New London treasure. From pizza to seafood, you can't go wrong with the cuisine, and the service is usually unbeatable.

What makes it five-star, though, is the vibe, curated by Daddy Jack Chaplin himself, a man in all ways larger than life. He's the owner, head chef, and executive maitre d' all in one, a guy who loves food and people, and the more of both the better. At Daddy Jack's, with its jubilant crowd and delicious cuisine, you'll agree!

Be forewarned, its hours are peculiar. But when it's open, it pulses with life, serving up great food, drinks, and music, and a heck of a good time!

Great atmosphere! Older crowd, draft beers, wines, hand mashed cocktails. The wait staff was very fast! Food good entertainment, no cover! Get there early for a table. Street parking but very limited. Used the parking lot right in back. Good for large crowd, party, or individual. Specialty is brick oven pizza.
