The Mystic area is quaint and nice to visit. However, I don't think I would come back to Engine Room. Dined here with 4 people for lunch and had an overall mediocre experience. The service was pretty awful. We sat outside, and the waitress who served us had an "I can't be bothered" attitude. The hostess indoors was pretty cold as well. The Men's bathroom was so dark, I felt like I was in a photo developing room. The food was decent, however. Skip the macaroni salad, store brand macaroni salad tastes better. The hand cut fries were awesome though. The burger I had was cooked as ordered, but it was mostly tasteless. Woulda been nice to have some seasoning on the burger. The bacon was chewy like a piece of ham, so I guess it's good if you like that sort of thing. The other people mostly enjoyed their entrees. I wouldn't say the meal was bad. But, definitely not spectacular. And, due to the snotty service, I don't think I would return.
Brunch was absolutely delicious. Drink menu was fun even for brunch too. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Also loved the decor and atmosphere in the restaurant, I would absolutely recommend it!
I love this place. They do steak and burgers right and their drinks are fantastic. The atmosphere is great and management is on the ball. They apologized to us on one trip for our appetizers taking "too long". We got them within 10 minutes of ordering. You can tell they're passionate about food there and it really shows.
Very nice place. The food was amazing specially the fried catch of the day. Good beer and great atmosphere. I'd recommend stopping by if you're in Mystic. Appetizers for great to. The only catch is you have to try to find street parking.
Gorgeous ambiance, excellent happy hour menu. My husband and I came in around 4pm. We didn't have lunch so we were starving. The happy hour menu was well priced and we ordered everything on the food section. The deviled eggs were a standout. Very tasty. The burger was good and even better when we put some pickled onions on it. The Chicago dog was absolutely delicious, especially with the pickled onions. The oyster dip was slightly spicy but so yummy. It was very rich so it was perfect for sharing. The hush puppies were insane. Like too good. The citrus rosemary butter is incredible paired with them. We had a great experience and can't wait to go back.
