The oatmeal was amazing here...loved it. I also think it's great that there are cuts of meat that are for sale too. I saw pork belly there (which I've been trying to find to no avail). I love the design of the restaurant too, it's absolutely beautiful. I noticed though, that the tartine sourdough bread isn't being used to make any of the sandwiches on the list and they aren't flexible about using the bread for sandwiches if you ask them to. Even when I was willing to buy the whole loaf for $10, they refused to cut me a slice to use with my order because "the kitchen was too busy." It would have been nice if they were more flexible and kind about that. But other than that, the food was excellent. For pointers on hospitality, please visit the South.

What an awesome atmosphere! Great food if you’re looking for a hearty, healthier option. Olivia was such an awesome help as it was our first time here and she made it a great experience for newbies. We live an hour away and we’ll definitely be back. Must go!

This place is AMAZING. The staff are very friendly and professional. The atmosphere is very cozy, and the food is expertly prepared. We sampled the chicken noodle soup, rotisserie chicken (regular and spicy buffalo), burger, handmade noodles, and the beef fat chocolate chip cookies . Everything we tried was great, and will definitely visit here again!

Butcher shop and Farm to table restaurant. Menu is full of items that made from local fresh ingredients. Aged meat from beef to pork and special sausages can be purchased to be cooked at home. Food off the menu, serving with local draft beer and wine. Try the buffalo rotisserie chicken, roasted chicken with a bath of buffalo sauce. The garlic kale salad. The butcher's meatloaf with marinara red sauce. We enjoyed the chicken and the kale salad greatly. The meatloaf was salty, may be it came from the salt of the aging process, but it was flavorful nevertheless.

Casual and clean place. Food brought to the table by the staff. They also cleaned the mess after you're finished.

Good addition to the Mystic restaurant lineup. A must try if you are in the area.
It is a bit pricey. It is Mystic, so it is kind of expected...

    Great little restaurant in Mystic.
Stopped here on a whim and it turned out to be a great idea.

It's a small place, was almost empty when we got there but filled up pretty quickly there after.
Decor is nice and simple, I like that.
They have beers and cider and soda, and also a water pitcher that you can help yourself to.
You order at the counter then take a seat and they'll bring your food out to you.

Since the rotisserie chicken is so prominent on the menu, I decided to get that - along with cornbread and spinach as sides (lots of leftovers!). The chicken was so good!!! It was beautifully seasoned and every part was juicy and tasty - even the breast. It comes with a garlic mayo to dip the chicken in but you really don't need anything to help this chicken with flavor. The cornbread comes with maple butter and they were both pretty good. The spinach was good too.
My husband got the veal pot pie and it was piping hot when it came out and delicious! His one complaint was that they sprinkle kosher salt on top of it, so that made parts of the crust super salty. But that aside, the crust was great and the filling was divine.

We'll definitely have to come back next time we're in Mystic.
