“Everything about the restaurant, management, staff, and menu is exceptional. And the round pies are AMAZING, but the Detroit style pies often come out with a lot of raw dough in the center/undercooked. Pizza is hard and they're doing amazing things, better than most other places in Connecticut. This restaurant (Vernon location) is also new, so I'm sure they'll get the Detroit pies dialed in soon. But as it sits, (went back twice about a month apart) they're still coming out undercooked in the center due to the oven temps being too high and maybe the hearth being too cool. That said, the round pies are incredible. They were also a bit underdone and floppy when they first opened, mostly due to too many wet ingredients not being pre-cooked before putting on the pie for it's final firing, so they leaked a lot onto an otherwise well cooked crust. But they're now much better, some of the nice Neapolitan style pies around! They're toppings are delicious, really well balanced for the dough, and interesting. I hope this review doesn't sound too harsh cus I will definitely be back. They're just above and beyond most other pizza places in the area and I want them to be perfect”

“This was our first time here, and we opted to meet up with friends to get more opinions of the place. We had a bit of a wait to get seated, but it was done in less than 15 minutes. We were given a choice, a high top table or booth, and we chose a booth. The booths are a bit awkward as they are an unusual shape. Comfortable for 4 adults, and I'm sure they could squeeze 2 more in if needed. If you were seated inside the booth, talking was okay, but if seated at the ends, then you had to raise your voice to be heard. Like previous reviews, the background music is hard to hear over the voices. They need someone on dimmer duty to lower the lights to get folks to quiet down a bit. It did make it difficult to hear even the person next to you. I would also suggest that management put a few tvs on with closed captioning. The drink menu looked good, but we were all taken aback at the price of the cocktails. $10 + seems a bit steep for our taste. So we passed on those. 3 waters and a sweet tea were ordered. If you are a fan of VERY sweet tea , you are in luck! Appetizers were hush puppies served with sour cream and onion rings ( which is a side on their menu). Both came out hot, but our runner didn't include plates for the four of us. Those we had to ask for when our waitress returned to take our order. The onion rings were crispy and had a good taste but a bit heavy with oil from the fryer, and the hush puppies' shape was so round it reminded us of those cake pop makers. We all got a good giggle out of that. They were okay, a bit on the dark side for my liking with a hint of cheese and bacon, but the four of us did not finish them. I opted to bring the rest of the onion rings home. One of our group opted to get a side salad with a balsamic dressing on the side. She stated it was fine but did not elaborate. One person ordered the Village Burger, which arrived with the top off of the burger. It was the most colorful plate at the table for presentation. It was juicy for sure as it spread all over their hands. It came with a basket of fries, which were good, but ended up getting colder quicker than they thought. 2 people ordered the brisket with 2 sides. A bean salsa type item and mashed potatoes. No one said it was terrible , but no one was raving about it either. One person did not finish their meal. I had the BBQ Chicken Flatbread. It is definitely something you'll want to share. It's too large for one, and I did ask for a to go container to bring the rest of it home. Yes, it was that good, and I'm not a big fan of caramelized onions either. Our waitress was quite pleasant and kept checking in with us to make sure everything was going well. She also made sure we had plenty of napkins and hand wipes ( a nice touch, by the way) The only downfall I noted was that they need to check between the seat cushions in the booths. Ours was filled with crumbs from previous diners.”

“Excellent experience. I have wanted to visit the Manchester location for some time now but was happy once I found out about this location. This was my first time going and will certainly be back. The food was amazing, portions just right and the beer selection was well thought out, not to mention everything was priced just right. Highly recommended. Will be back again.”

“The experience you have depends on the employee. The store itself is well maintained and organized, some employees are happy and social, some clearly don't want to be there and it shows. To be fair to them, this is a tough area. For every one normal customer they get, they get one that tries to steal or yells at them for things they don't have control of. No one every emphasizes with convenience store employees, but statistically more bad things (shoplifting, robberies, assault, etc) happen in convenience stores than any other subgenre of retail/food service. After years and years of this, very few people can maintain a love for their fellow human beings. Give then the benefit of the doubt, you have no idea the crazy stuff they've seen.”

“First thing I noticed was how clean the inside looks and you can see where they prep food and oven. Friendly, about 25 min for pickup. Had pizza the sauce was good, crust was typical new england style slightly thicker buttery crust and the toppings were cooked perfectly.”

“Great up and coming dinner theater, delicious food, and they regularly cook and donate to local homeless shelters ? Highly recommend the made-in-house fries! ? (full disclosure, I was in to help organize and deliver those dinners)”

“Sometimes the line is a bit long and it stretches into the street between it and the Taco bell but aside from that everything about it is great, the staff is friendly and the food is great. I was hoping they would make the Butterbeer from the secret menu but they didn't have all the ingredients (darn!), not their fault. No complaints here though, all my experiences with this place have all been positive.”

“I was craving for Hawai’ian Loko moko and discovered this place which is the only place I’ve found in CT that makes it. It was DELICIOUS. Their sashimi salad was beautiful and delicious as well but the portions are very small. I also love their shakes and coffee shakes. Every single time I come, the workers are always extremely friendly and present professional customer service. My new spot to go to :))”

“For a fast food restaurant, this is a top notch burger king. It has Parking for buses, but don't let that discourage you though. Because they get a lot of travelers as customers, the food is always Freshly prepared because turnover is out of this world. Fries are hot out of the fryer, burgers still juicy hot and they actually put more then one slice of bacon on your burgers. Never had a bad, microwaved, anything from this fast food establishment. Staff always courteous and I would give them a 4 out of 5 for cleanliness. If your in the mood for fast food, and don't want soggy fries and a microwave burger, head over to this bk right off rt 84, exit 67. Funny enough McDonald's is across the street. Not as fresh as bk. And that's coming from a McDonald's over bk person. But had a bad experience and hopped over to the other side of the street. Parking might be a little sticky, but it's all in the time of day.”

“Get the pizza!! This was my first time trying this restaurant. Me and my husband ordered a white pizza with sausage, bacon, onions, and ricotta. It was absolutely delicious. Great ingredients and the crust was phenomenal. My son ordered from the kids meal and got chicken tenders with french fries. He enjoyed it and the french fries were really good. Couldn't beat the prices. I've been to other Hometown Pizza places where the prices were ridiculous and the pizza wasn't that good. So I was surprised with the quality of the pizza at such a nice price. The atmosphere was relaxed. There were older couples there drinking wine and eating steak. There were families with children having soda and pizza. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and the wait staff was very friendly and prompt. I was surprised with how busy it was that there was no wait time at all to receive our meals. I will be going back and I highly recommend”
