Buckley's Tavern

We got here in time to beat the post-work rush. We sat in the bar area at a low table and loved the atmosphere. My 82-year-old mother and I were in the area to visit historic homes and gardens, and this was a great starter. The onion rings, which we shared as an appetizer, were some of the best we've had. My mother and friend had quiche and salad. The asparagus in the quiche overpowered the other flavors, but it was good. I had the fish and chips; the portion was huge. The fish was cooked perfectly; the fries were okay, but not nearly as good as the onion rings. There's a nice cocktail selection too!

Buckley's is one of my favorite places to eat. Great food, a wonderful beer selection, a casual atmosphere and during the summer my wife and I live sitting on the deck or the roof. My only warning is be careful how much you eat for dinner because their desserts are fantastic.

It had been a long time since we were here. When it initially changed ownership we were not thrilled with the food but it was much better this time. The steaks we had were excellent. As always the ambience was amazing and the service was excellent. Centerville is a really cool tiny town. The restaurant is in a beautiful location and worth the visit.

Haven't been in over a year as my last visit was not so great. This time however was really good. Great comfort food prepared very well and moderately priced. Would definitely put this back on my list of go to restaurants

Good food with a old money atmosphere. People who are well off but don't need to flaunt it. It is a place I rarely get to enjoy. Today I got to eat in the room with a fireplace and wood beams on the ceiling. The walls were also wood. The place is comparable with similar restaurants.
