“Decided to dine in at the new "Fat Vinny's Cheesesteaks and Pizza" in Selbyville. Ordered a cheesesteak with fries and the hostess was very friendly, cheesesteak was absolutely delicious and the fries could feed three people. Had my order in 10-minutes and I will frequent this restaurant as often as possible.”

“Excellent addition to the neighborhood! Glad to finally have really good pizza near Bayside. The crust is delicious, although there was a bit too much flop. Next time I might order it well done to add extra char and firmness. The ingredients smelled and tasted incredibly fresh. The salads were great too! Highly recommend!”

“Breakfast was really good, especially the chocolate chip pancakes & the scrambled eggs. The waitress was very busy, but very friendly. Overall, loved the place!”

“Been wanting to try this restaurant for over a month but never sure if they were open. Turns out they are open daily starting at 11. Staff was very attentive and helpful, food was great and a nice variety of items to choose from. Come support a new local restaurant!!”

“4 of us went for dinner on a Saturday evening. Had reservations, and it was busy, so reservations definitely a must. Building resembled an older house, turned into a restaurant. Lots of different rooms to be seated in, we were ushered to the back, a very back large room, lots of tables. Room was a bit odd…no windows and no real style, kind of a mishmash of different lights, ceiling fans, wall hangings. Felt bare, definitely not “cozy” as described on their website. There are benches along the walls, and if you get one of these, the tables are very small, barely big enough for 4 people. We asked if we could sit at one of the tables in the middle which also sat 4 and was larger, but were told “these are reserved”…? (So wait…there is another reservation in addition to our original reservation?). Very odd! One huge downside is the large room we sat in is VERY loud! There are no sound treatments or “soft” items that would help block the echo noise, so it is basically a big square room where the conversation is deafening. The other small dining areas rooms did not have this, so would suggest if you have a hard time hearing in a noisy environment you figure out how to reserve a specific location in addition to your original reservation (which again we had no information that this is an option). Our waitress was very good, always checking in us and apologizing if she was busy, but very efficient and friendly. The menu layout is a bit odd, as on page 1 it lists a special appetizer, then special entree’s, then soups, then salads. After that on page 2 oysters and more appetizers, then sandwiches that are continued on page 3 before the main entree’s selections. The nice thing is they have codes next to all the food that lists possible allergens, with an allergy list in back that lists ingredients…nice! My wife ordered a “field of greens” salad and the shrimp and grits appetizer. The salad is pricey ($15) and when it came out, we saw it is a full sized salad meal…not expected. Same with the shrimp and grits, a normal full sized entree. Would be nice if that was mentioned somewhere, but the prices probably reflect the sizes. Nowhere is it shown you can just get a typical side salad. The upside was the food was very good! Shrimp and grits were amazing, crab cakes were pretty good, the Cast Iron roasted Cod was very simple, light and fresh, perfect if you don’t want a heavy sauce like is on the shrimp and grits. The sides of roasted asparagus and roasted carrots and potatoes were very good. Did not order desert as we were more than full from the meal. Had a bottle of wine with the meal, they do let you know up front if you don’t finish it you can take it with you…that is a nice option if there are just two of you, you want a bottle but don’t want to drink it all. Prices are high, but of course a seafood place at the beach is going to be up there. Spent around $60 per person including the wine. Overall while the food was good, probably would try somewhere else next time. Was not bad, just didn’t stand out. Would I go back…probably not. Would I recommend…sure…just make sure you get a different room to eat in, and understand the appetizers and salads are full sized meals.”

“This place is very nice indeed! They pulled a lady up on stage, put a hat on her and sang Happy Birthday to her! My vegetarian burrito was so awesome!! I actually went back the next day for another! I was not let down! Oh yea, and very spacious!”

“Before I comment about the food I’d like to first leave a compliment about the excellent customer service the Shanty Seafood provides. They are always so friendly on the phone and in person! That’s a big deal for me! We know each other by first name and there’s nothing better than having a personal relationship. The crabs and shrimp are always perfect and they always know what we personally like to order. I love, love, love, the Shanty Seaford!”

“Phenomenal meal, you wouldn’t expect this level of quality from a bowling alley. Try the signature Sporkers, like a sandwich reinvented. I didn’t expect it to be as good as it was. The bread was so great and it might sound weird but the texture of the bread added to the experience. The macaroni and cheese was high quality. Bacon jam took it to the next level. From what I’ve tried, there’s plenty of comfort food that can put you right to sleep. I don’t drink alcohol so I can’t tell you about that side, but if you’re into that kind of thing just try it while you’re eating your favorite choice of signature sporkers. Staff was so nice! Tanya and Nikki helped make the atmosphere and experience even better. There was a nice old bald guy too but I didn’t catch his name.”

“Best subs at the shore. Cheesesteak is fantastic (done in the style of Jim's in Philly), other standouts are the italian, and the turkey. Prices might seem high, but the quality is excellent and the size (especially the large) is great. Been going here since I was a kid and it really hasn't changed much - and that is a very good thing. GO!”

“5:30 reservation but lots of empty tables. Beautiful decor, mix of people off the beach to some who went home and got dressed for a night out. One of our cocktails had so much ice with so little alcohol that we had to send it back. Lamb chops were plentiful and delicious.Everyone at our table enjoyed their meal. Will return.”

“Hayden absolutely made our first visit here a memorable and positive experience. Due to dietary restrictions, we ordered one of the sushi rolls and the JO wings. Both were great. It would be good to see more non-fried protein options on the menu. But, again, I could’ve been served cardboard and having Hayden as our server would have made me feel I was dining in a 5 star establishment. Managers - she’s a keeper! We’ll definitely request Hayden on future visits.”

“Delicious Salvadoran/Mexican food made quick! Everything was delicious and filling. I got the steak burrito and could only eat half so it’s definitely shareable. My husband loved the chorizo fries and his tacos. We can see why they have raving reviews and hopefully you get to enjoy these tasteful bites. They offer outdoor benches for seating and parking is right in front of the donut shop and Latino market.”

“People are wonderful. Pizza is an 8/10. The sauce is wonderful, cheese is great. The only issue was it was a little like a pastry? It's still nice and thin. But had sort of a pastry feel to the dough. The wings were great 👍. Will order again, over, and over again!”

“Best brunch in Dewey Beach! The monte cristo waffles are amazing, I get them every single time. The country fried steak is just as good. The service is always top notch, can’t recommend this restaurant enough.”

“A fun and creative menu with freshly dipped donuts served quickly and cheerfully. The only reason I gave it four instead of five stars is because I don’t love cake style donuts, which is a personal preference rather than an objective evaluation of the donuts here. What they do, they do well. We had a glazed, a chocolate topped and a couple cinnamon powered.”

“We’ve gotten food from sauced multiple times and every time it’s been delicious! Thw sandwiches are huge, I can barely finish a half myself. I’ve had the roast beef (the inlet) and the meatball sandwich would get both again. For the person who said their sandwich had barely any meat - I find that hard to believe or they listed to your complaint.”

“$$-$$$. Recommended for date night, special occasion or in the mood to crack crabs. More upscaled in ambiance and presentation of dishes compared to your regular crab house. With offerings of different price targets and options for non-seafood lovers there is always something to find but with the varying price levels options are limited. While I enjoyed my experience with the staff and taste I felt some dishes to be intentionally overpriced in their offerings to offer that wide range of price varieties (please see scallop entree option and pictures). I left the restaurant feeling that it's still deciding if it wants to be an upscale seafood restaurant or a traditional crab house as they navigate the grey line in between.”

“Service slow. Order was wrong. Even the appetizer wasn't what we ordered. We were the only ones there at the time. Server gave me all the food because it was on one platter. Shared one plate with my spouse. Guac good, gordita good. Had to go up to pay. Others didn't have to. She did ask us if we were done but the check never came. Going back to Chabalitas or Tapatias if I want Mexican.”
