Had brunch there. The queues were long but the service was quick. Nice staff.

This place is a gem. Excellent service and the food is on par with any place we have been in DC recently. It has all the charm and comfort of your favorite neighborhood spot but is turning out some of the most interesting and exciting dishes in the city right now. Small curated wine list with some fun cult-y labels and varietals. Plus, a knowledgeable staff that you can tell truly knows and enjoys their craft.

The food and coffee drinks here are consistent. Can get busy on weekends. Very much a neighborhood feel with polished touches and a vintage vibe. The crowd here is from the area, with folks making small talk while waiting. I prefer over nearby Pear Plum, which is also not bad.

Everything about Elle is fantastic. I love a good crust and the empanadas did not disappoint. Flaky, well seasoned and full of flavor I can't wait to go back some day. We had to get goodies to go because it was delicious.
