Hitching Post Restaurant

The food was so great and service was excellent. Arlene was our waitress and was sweet and attentive. When I am back in the area, this will def be a place i will be returning to eat.

Best meal I've had in DC so far. The fried catfish was fantastic.

Hitching Post is a very relaxing restaurant. The service is fast and delightful. People are very courageous and friendly. The food taste home cooked. I would recommend it to everyone. Thanks Hitching Post staff for making my hectic Friday relaxing.

We came here for lunch and an informal church meeting. Its wonderful! The service is great, the food is delicious, we will be coming her often!

The staff was super friendly and the food is decent though in the pricier side. This place has a easygoing ans slow atmosphere, which has a downside. We waited 30+ minutes for the check because the bartender was also handling the outside table. Also next to us were two gentleman casually smoking gigantic cigars, so we were essentially in a constant foggy haze of cigar smoke while waiting for 30 minutes. As such, would not take kids here and force them to wait so long, to endure second hand smoke. I would go here again at an off peak hour, but expect a slow slow DC style service during peak times.
