    The decor was nice and it was clean. The tacos taste great and the price was right. However... there was a hostess that never moved from behind the bar to do anything for our table and it was just us and her in there!! She stayed on her phone the entire night even when we were standing there. The kitchen staff that brought the tacos were far more friendly and helpful. The place was empty and I'm pretty sure that's why.

    Went for HH, taco/beer special is awesome. Margaritas are 7/10. Nice ambiance, I have to check it out during the summer.

    I hosted an event at Cortez and it was amazing! The venue was nice (we booked the heated rooftop and it had great views of U street) and it was perfect for the group size I had (about 30). The drinks were really good (our favorite was the cranberry ginger marg) and the bartender was great. Excellent service and venue! Also, I wasn’t even expecting this but the music was fun too.

    This place should get way more traffic than it does. Incredible food, great vibe, lovely staff. I am there at least once a week - highly recommend the tacos on Sunday or during HH.
