Great authentic taste and vibe. Recommended as a favorite dinner spot in DC.
The best pizza in DC! The restaurant has a very clean, streamlined and cozy appearance. Great pizza, craft beers, regional wines, salads. Antipasti- try the Coccio - my fave! Everything is prepared with high quality, authentic Italian ingredients by a specially trained chef, who is a certified Neapolitan pizzaiolo and makes pizza dough second to none. The red streetside patio is great for warm weather and even cold weather too! Convenient street parking. Definitely worth the drive!
True forno a legno pizza neopolitana! The pizza is great and done in the true Italian style with a thin crust in a wood burning oven. The variety of craft brews are greatly appreciated and my friends like the wine. The insalata di mare/pesce is very good and my favorite appetizer.
Great pizza. I ate a whole pie for myself and I don't usually do that so you know it's good. It's really thin crust so one pizza probably won't feed two people. The prices aren't outrageous so two pies won't break the bank. The tables are small and the chairs are backless. This can lead to some issues when trying to coordinate multiple pies. The chocolate trifle was delicious.
Warning: this is not American pizza. I did a really quick search, saw pizza & beer, and pounced. I was pleasantly surprised to find legit Italian pizza! It was awesome, the service was great. I will return. The only thing I would do differently is order wine instead of beer, because Italian wine is much better than Italian beer.
