Can't really describe how good this sushi was. Didn't know sushi could taste this good.

A first rate sushi experience! Don't let the "20 course" thing scare you. It's actually 20 pieces. They offer add-ons but, you likely won't need them. Nice selection of Japanese scotch and impeccable service. Disregard the building it's in, that has nothing to do with who they are.

Will save my pennies and will be back.

Amazing sushi experience! We did the omakase menu and sake tasting. The chef was friendly and informative. Each piece of sushi was delicious, and the wagyu beef practically melts in your mouth. It's pricey, but a great way to celebrate a special occasion.

Another amazing experience at Sushi Nakazawa. No other sushi restaurant even comes close in DC. I like this location better than the Sushi Nakazawa in NY due to the cozier atmosphere. The Omakase menu here is great value for the quality. Similar quality sushi in NY would go for $200 - 250. Service is impeccable; always paying attention to the customers yet being non-intrusive. Cody, the general manager, is always welcoming, knowledgeable about the food and sake list, and makes the overall dining experience refined yet not stuffy. Makes you want to come back again and again!

Phenomenal dinner. Had a solo evening and booked a reservation in their dining room. They notified me quickly that they had an opening at the sushi bar instead and I opted to move for that option at 8pm (their last seating at the bar). I felt extremely well taken care of from the start and the food didn't disappoint. I'll definitely be coming back next time I visit DC.
