The service and the energy smoothie were great! I'll definitely return next time I'm in the area.

I was looking for a smoothie in the neighborhood and my roommate recommended this place. It lived up to the hype she claimed it had. They had lots of varieties of smoothies and shakes (as well as pastries and coffee) and you could even build your own. I got the protein pack smoothie. It was hearty enough to be a breakfast for sure!

I’d like to love this place seeing as it’s 30 seconds from my apartment, but I’ve tried many a time and I’m not there.

Pros: great food and coffee, nice outdoor tables, quiet place to hang with wifi. Good selection of baked items, sandwiches, salads, fruit.

Cons: Service I’ve had has always been bare minimum, if not disinterested. It seems most times I’m in there I’m the only one ordering and it still somehow takes 15 minutes for a very standard bagel. $5 credit card minimum, so you’ll need cash if you just want coffee.

The place is a hidden gem. Quiet spot for making some work done. They need to add “Cortado” on their coffee list though. The Lavazza coffee is perfect but they add lots of milk to the “breve.”

I was on vacation in DC and Jolt and Bolt was down the street from the condo we rented. The first time I went in there I was hooked on their amazing coffee and muffins. The two women that work there are amazing people, always with a friendly smile. They made me feel like home while on vacation and not just another customer. On my last day of vacation they gifted me a bag of their coffee grounds which warmed my heart and really hit home the type of people they are. Washington DC is blessed to have such an amazingly run coffee joint. If I am ever back in DC, Jolt and Bolt will again be go to spot. Thank you ladies for making me feel like home!????
